21Shares Lists Lighter and Venice Crypto ETPs in Europe
21Shares launched two physically backed crypto ETPs in Europe on October 20, giving investors access to Lighter (LIT) and Venice Token (VVV) through standard brokerage accounts. The Lighter ETP trades on Deutsche Börse Xetra as LIHT, with a US dollar trading line under LIHU; the Venice Token ETP trades on SIX Swiss Exchange as VENC. Both products charge a 2.50% annual fee and hold the underlying tokens with custodians, so investors do not manage private keys or directly control the assets. The Lighter ETP tracks a token linked to a decentralised perpetuals exchange that uses zero-knowledge technology in parts of its trading processes. Venice provides privacy-focused AI services. VVV’s annual issuance fell from 14 million tokens at launch in January 2025 to 2 million from October 1, 2026. The issuer says buybacks and burns remain below issuance, and VVV carries no equity or governance rights. The listings may broaden European access to both tokens, but investors remain exposed to token volatility and product fees. The securities are not publicly offered in the United States.
Neutral
The European listings expand regulated-market access to LIT and VVV, which could support awareness and incremental demand over time. However, an ETP listing does not guarantee token purchases or sustained buying pressure, and the available information gives no indication of immediate inflows or a material change in market liquidity. In the short term, traders may react to the new listings, but price moves are likely to remain driven mainly by broader market conditions, token liquidity and project-specific news. Over the longer term, easier brokerage access could widen the investor base, while the 2.50% fee and indirect ownership may limit appeal compared with holding tokens directly. For VVV, issuance remains above buybacks and burns, a factor that may weigh on supply-demand expectations; the token also provides no equity or governance rights. Overall, the news is an access development rather than a clear directional catalyst for either token, supporting a neutral price-impact view.
