Aptos Hotfix Candidate Moves to Testnet Validators
Aptos Labs first released the v1.49.1 hotfix for mainnet validators to improve consensus and state synchronisation. On 1 October, it followed with the private aptos-node-v1.49.2-hotfix-rc for Aptos testnet validators. Validators must upgrade, while fullnode operators are advised to do so. The new Aptos release is available as binaries or a Docker image, but its source code and technical explanation remain undisclosed. Aptos has not confirmed whether the patch addresses consensus, state synchronisation or a security issue.
