Bee Maps Nets $32M to Scale DePIN Maps, Launches $19 Dashcam

Bee Maps, formerly Hivemapper, has secured $32 million in a Series A funding round led by Pantera Capital, LDA Capital, Borderless Capital and Ajna Capital. The capital will scale its Solana-based DePIN mapping network by deploying more AI-enabled dashcams and improving real-time mapping models. New Bee Membership dashcam subscription offers US drivers hardware, LTE connectivity and fleet software for $19 per month over 24 months, replacing the $589 upfront cost to boost dashcam subscription uptake and HONEY token rewards. Bee Maps reports partnerships with Lyft for real-time routing, Volkswagen’s robotaxi program and clients like NBCUniversal, Mapbox and HERE, reflecting growing enterprise demand in navigation, automotive and city planning. Its edge AI pipeline processes contributor footage into dynamic map features five to six times faster than incumbents. With 644 million kilometers mapped, including 21 million kilometers of unique routes, Bee Maps plans to accelerate device distribution and meet a pipeline of six- to seven-figure enterprise contracts. Traders should note the dashcam subscription model and strengthened HONEY token economy, together with the expanding DePIN mapping network, could drive token demand and Solana network usage.
Bullish
The $32M Series A funding and launch of a $19-per-month dashcam subscription model indicate strong investor confidence and a clear path to scaling Bee Maps’ DePIN network. This expansion and improved token incentives are likely to boost demand for the HONEY token, while increased activity on Solana may enhance network utility. In the short term, traders may see upward momentum from renewed buying interest. Over the long term, broader coverage and enterprise partnerships could underpin sustainable token appreciation.
