Binance to Change Tick Sizes for BLURUSDT and QUSDT Perpetuals

Binance will adjust the tick sizes for its BLURUSDT and QUSDT perpetual contracts at 14:30 Beijing time on 28 October 2026. The BLURUSDT tick size will decrease from 0.00001 to 0.000001, while QUSDT’s will increase from 0.000001 to 0.00001. The Binance tick size changes will not affect contract trading operations, and existing orders will remain unaffected.
Neutral
The announcement concerns contract price increments rather than the underlying assets’ fundamentals, supply or demand. Binance says trading operations will not be affected and existing orders will remain in place, so the change alone is unlikely to alter the broader market direction or market stability. In the short term, BLURUSDT’s smaller increment may allow finer price quoting, while QUSDT’s larger increment may make its quote steps coarser. Traders should check order-entry precision and execution details around the effective time. Similar exchange tick-size adjustments are generally market-structure changes: they can affect quoting and order-book granularity, but do not inherently signal a bullish or bearish outlook. Longer-term price action is more likely to depend on liquidity, trading volume and asset-specific developments.
