Binance Proof of Reserves Shows 100% Backing for 10 Tokens

Binance says its October 31 Proof of Reserves snapshot showed at least 100% reserve backing for BTC, ETH, USDT, BNB, SOL, USDC, XRP, USD1, RLUSD and ZEC. Its Merkle tree and zk-SNARK system lets customers verify that their balances were included without revealing account details. The snapshot followed a reported $6.3 billion security incident on October 29 and 30. Binance says it has recovered or replenished about 95% of the affected assets using company resources, including SAFU contributions; the remaining shortfall is attributed mainly to less-liquid tokens. The exchange also recorded about $4.7 billion in net outflows after withdrawals reopened. The Binance Proof of Reserves report reflects balances at one point in time and does not establish full solvency or account for all corporate debts and off-platform obligations. Binance plans another snapshot for November 4, with proof generation expected to take 40–50 hours. For traders, reserve coverage may support confidence, while continued outflows and the unrecovered balance remain risks to monitor.
Neutral
The reserve snapshot is a confidence-supporting signal for Binance and the tokens listed, as it reports at least 100% backing and gives users a way to verify balances. However, it is a point-in-time check, not proof of full solvency, and the reported $6.3 billion incident, approximately $4.7 billion in net outflows, and the remaining unrecovered assets temper the reassurance. In the short term, traders may respond to the reserve disclosure and security concerns with volatility, but the information does not establish a clear directional price catalyst for any listed token. Over the longer term, credible, repeated disclosures and a return to stable flows could improve confidence; further outflows or doubts about liabilities could undermine it. On balance, the competing signals suggest a neutral price impact.
