Bitget Wallet Adds USD and EUR Stablecoin Accounts

Bitget Wallet has launched personal USD and EUR virtual accounts that convert incoming bank transfers into USDT or USDC in users’ self-custodial wallets. Provided by payments firm Noah, the accounts accept ACH, Fedwire, SEPA and SWIFT deposits. Opening an account is free, and users do not need to reside in the US or Europe, but they must live in a supported country and pass identity checks. The service is not a bank account and does not provide cash services. Deposits are currently one-way; Bitget Wallet says transfers out are planned for the coming months. USD deposits are capped at $10,000 per transfer and $20,000 a month, while EUR deposits are limited to €15,000 per transfer and €30,000 a month. Bitget Wallet estimates that its fees on a $500 ACH deposit are about $2, excluding possible bank or network charges. An earlier launch offer said the first 1,000 eligible users could receive a transaction-fee refund. The service adds a bank-to-stablecoin route for freelancers and remittance recipients, though its limits and deposit-only setup may constrain use.
Neutral
The announcement is mainly a payments and wallet-access development, not a change to the supply, reserves or operation of USDT or USDC. It may modestly increase the convenience of acquiring these stablecoins and support their use for cross-border payments, but the service’s country restrictions, identity checks, deposit caps and lack of withdrawals limit its immediate reach. These factors are unlikely to materially alter either token’s market price or stability. In the short term, any increase in trading activity is more likely to reflect user transfers than directional buying. Over the longer term, wider access could support stablecoin adoption, but the product alone does not provide a strong price catalyst for either asset.
