BitMEX and Binance Expand HYPER Token Trading with Perpetual Contracts and 50x Leverage
Binance and BitMEX have expanded their trading offerings for the Hyperlane (HYPER) token. Binance announced HYPER 1-75x USDT-margined perpetual contracts starting April 22, 2025, along with introducing HYPER across its financial products. BitMEX listed a new HYPERUSDT perpetual swap with up to 50x leverage beginning April 23, 2025. The BitMEX swap allows traders to engage with the HYPER token without holding it, with a minimum trade amount of 1 HYPER and equal maker and taker fees of 0.05%. Hyperlane, a permissionless interoperability protocol, uses HYPER for network security and participant incentives. BitMEX offers up to $5,000 in promotional BMEX Tokens to new verified users, potentially increasing interest in the protocol and appealing to traders seeking high leverage opportunities.
Neutral
The introduction of new trading products for the HYPER token on both Binance and BitMEX offers increased trading opportunities but does not inherently suggest a directional move in HYPER’s market price. While high-leverage options may appeal to aggressive traders, they also increase risk, leading to balanced market reactions. These developments might improve liquidity and market participation, but absent major market shifts or news, they likely result in a neutral short-term price impact.
