BNB Rallies 6% as Kalshi Launch and BNB Chain Growth Boost Demand
BNB rose more than 6% to about $770, reaching its highest level since early February and extending its market-cap lead over XRP. The rally came despite broader weakness after a strong US jobs report pressured risk assets.
Investor interest was supported by Kalshi’s launch of BNB perpetual futures in the United States under Commodity Futures Trading Commission oversight. Eligible US traders can use leverage of roughly 4.5x. Kalshi also supports BNB Smart Chain deposits and withdrawals for international users.
BNB Chain’s expanding role in tokenised-equity trading provided another potential catalyst. A Grayscale report cited by Wu Blockchain said weekly spot volume in tokenised equities reached nearly $3 billion in August, while only about 5% of the market is currently used in on-chain finance. BNB Chain ranked among the leading networks, behind Robinhood Chain and alongside Solana.
For traders, the BNB rally signals strong token-specific momentum, but its sustainability may depend on derivatives demand, broader crypto-market conditions and further US regulatory clarity.
Bullish
The immediate market impact is bullish for BNB. The token broke above recent trading levels and reached about $770 while much of the altcoin market remained weak. Kalshi’s regulated US perpetual futures could improve BNB’s derivatives access, liquidity and visibility. The approximately 4.5x leverage limit is relatively moderate, which may reduce—but not eliminate—the risk of excessive speculative positioning.
BNB Chain’s presence in tokenised-equity markets adds a longer-term fundamental narrative. Rising trading activity and potential regulatory clarity could increase demand for infrastructure linked to the network. Similar listings, derivatives launches and ecosystem-growth announcements have often produced short-term rallies in major crypto assets, although gains can fade when traders sell into the news.
Key risks include broader Bitcoin and macroeconomic weakness, leverage-driven liquidations, and the possibility that Kalshi’s product generates limited volume. A move toward $770 may therefore attract momentum traders, but confirmation through sustained volume and a break above resistance would be needed to support a durable trend. In the longer term, BNB’s performance will depend on actual BNB Chain usage, regulatory developments and whether tokenised-equity activity expands beyond speculation.
