Chainlink 24/7 Adds Aave for Tokenized RWA Lending

Chainlink has launched Chainlink 24/7, a pricing service designed to deliver continuous data for tokenized real-world assets (RWAs), including equities and commodities, through weekends and traditional market holidays. Aave plans to use Chainlink 24/7 on its Horizon institutional lending platform to value tokenized RWA collateral, starting with high-volume US equities. The service combines regular and extended-hours data with aggregated perpetual futures quotes when traditional markets are closed. Chainlink says the service can support collateral management, prediction markets and perpetual futures. Its earlier 24/5 US equities feeds have supported more than $1.6 billion in tokenized assets across six blockchain networks since January 2026. However, the latest announcement does not specify the rollout date or full list of supported markets and assets. Chainlink documentation also cautions that closed-market periods can bring thinner liquidity, wider spreads and slower updates, and recommends safeguards such as stale-data checks, price limits and fallback procedures. The launch comes amid growing interest in tokenized-asset lending. Aave has previously outlined an Avalanche-based RWA lending hub, while eligible Robinhood Stock Token holders can borrow stablecoins through Morpho using tokenized shares as collateral. The CFTC also plans a December 15 roundtable on continuous derivatives trading, tokenization and market resilience. For traders, Chainlink 24/7 could strengthen infrastructure for around-the-clock onchain markets and help protocols monitor collateral and liquidation risk. But continuous pricing does not guarantee deeper liquidity or accurate prices, especially when traditional exchanges are closed. Weekend pricing quality and risk controls remain key factors to watch.
Neutral
The news is primarily an infrastructure and adoption development, not a direct change to LINK’s token economics or demand. Aave’s planned use of Chainlink 24/7 and the broader need for continuous RWA pricing may strengthen the Chainlink ecosystem’s long-term relevance, which could support sentiment toward LINK. The reported scale of Chainlink’s existing 24/5 equity feeds also offers evidence of real-world use. However, the announcement provides no deployment date or detailed asset list, and it does not confirm new fee revenue or other direct value accrual to LINK. In the short term, traders may react to the launch and Aave partnership, but the price impact is likely limited without measurable adoption or token-demand data. Over the longer term, wider use of Chainlink’s pricing services could be supportive if it generates sustained network activity and value capture. Risks include thin off-hours liquidity, pricing discrepancies and liquidation issues, which could delay adoption or weaken confidence. On balance, the effect on LINK’s price is neutral.
