AAVE Leads CoinDesk 20 Higher, Up 5.9% as ICP Rallies
CoinDesk 20 is trading at 1682.86, up 0.5% (+8.62) since 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday, with 15 of 20 constituents in green.
AAVE is the standout, gaining 5.9% and driving today’s relative strength inside CoinDesk 20. Internet Computer (ICP) also rose, up 2%, adding broad support from large-cap tech exposure.
On the downside, Stellar (XLM) fell 1.4% and Cardano (ADA) slipped 1.2%, acting as the laggards.
For traders, the key signal in CoinDesk 20 is near-term rotation toward AAVE: if AAVE holds its gains into the next session, momentum continuation is more likely. If AAVE fades while CoinDesk 20 remains range-bound, it would suggest the upside impulse is weakening rather than turning into a broad rally.
Bullish
CoinDesk 20 is modestly up and remains broadly constructive (15/20 green). The move is quality-led by AAVE’s sharp outperformance, with ICP also confirming strength, which typically supports short-term momentum and encourages index-internal rotation flows.
However, the index is not “runaway” bullish: clear laggards (XLM and ADA) show risk is still selective. This means the bullish bias is most likely to persist only if AAVE holds gains; a reversal in AAVE would weaken the momentum thesis and could flip the tape toward neutral.
