Curve Finance Launches StableSwap on Stellar

Curve Finance has launched StableSwap on Stellar mainnet, marking its first native deployment outside the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) ecosystem. The launch allows users to permissionlessly create liquidity pools, swap similarly priced assets such as stablecoins, and provide liquidity. Curve Finance’s total value locked was about $1.27 billion at the time of the announcement, while Stellar’s stablecoin market was worth about $394 million, mostly in USDC. Trading volume and activity for the new pools have not been disclosed, so adoption remains unproven. Curve Finance plans to bring its FXSwap product, designed for foreign exchange and real-world assets, to Stellar after audits are complete; no launch date has been announced.
Neutral
The Stellar launch expands Curve Finance’s reach and could support demand for its services over time, which may be constructive for CRV if it leads to sustained usage and revenue. However, the reports provide no trading-volume or adoption data for the new pools, and the planned FXSwap deployment is still awaiting audits. In the short term, the announcement alone offers limited evidence of increased demand for CRV, so price movement may depend more on broader market conditions. Longer term, measurable liquidity growth and user activity on Stellar could improve sentiment; without those signals, the deployment’s effect on CRV is uncertain.
