Ethereum Price Rebound Faces Resistance as ETF Outflows Grow

Ethereum price has rebounded from roughly $2,405–$2,410 to around $2,530, but the recovery remains tentative. The latest analysis places key resistance at $2,560–$2,575, close to the daily 50-day moving average at $2,558; ETH is also below its 20-day average at $2,640. A sustained breakout could open a path towards $2,700, while a failure would put support near $2,500 and $2,410 in focus. Demand remains a concern. US spot Ethereum ETFs recorded about $201.9 million in outflows on October 6, with net outflows reaching $542.2 million from October 5–9. Around $165 million in leveraged ETH long positions were liquidated during the recent decline. Liquidation concentrations above the market near $2,585, $2,635–$2,640 and $2,740 could add volatility as traders watch for a breakout or rejection. More than one-third of ETH is staked, but tighter available supply does not guarantee higher prices. The broader selloff also pressured Bitcoin and Solana, which traded near $81,000 and $110, respectively.
Bearish
The near-term balance of evidence is bearish for ETH, although a decisive breakout could change the outlook. Ethereum price remains below its key daily moving averages and faces resistance around $2,560–$2,575. The larger reported outflows from US spot Ethereum ETFs point to weak demand, while the earlier long liquidations and overhead liquidation concentrations suggest continued volatility and possible selling pressure. Traders may therefore treat the rebound cautiously and watch whether ETH holds support near $2,500 and $2,410. Over the longer term, staking more than one-third of ETH may limit readily available supply, but this alone does not establish a bullish trend. Continued ETF outflows or repeated failures at resistance could weigh on sentiment; sustained buying and a hold above resistance would be needed to strengthen the recovery case. The classification reflects the current price and flow pressures, not a certainty about future performance.
