Gate Swap Launches 3,000,000 GM Reward Pool for GT/GM LP Holders

Gate Web3’s Swap on Gate Layer has launched a 3,000,000 GM community reward pool running from December 19 to December 27. Users who purchase GM and provide GT/GM liquidity, then hold LP tokens for at least two days, will earn standard swap fees plus a share of the daily-distributed GM rewards. Reward distribution is proportional to each user’s GM LP token share and accumulates daily—longer holding and larger LP positions increase total returns. Gate Swap is an AMM DEX built for the Gate Layer ecosystem focused on liquidity provision and efficient trading via optimized mechanics and smart liquidity management. The promotion targets liquidity incentives to deepen market liquidity for GT/GM pairs and attract user participation. This is a limited-time incentive aimed at boosting on-chain liquidity and trading activity for the GM token and GT/GM pool.
Bullish
Liquidity mining campaigns that offer sizable reward pools typically have a bullish short-term effect on token demand and on-chain trading volumes. The 3,000,000 GM incentive directly encourages users to buy GM and provide GT/GM liquidity, which should increase GM buys and LP deposits, tighten spreads, and raise trading activity for the pair during the campaign. Because rewards are proportional and accumulate daily, participants are likely to maintain positions for at least the required two days, reducing short-term sell pressure and supporting price. Similar past AMM reward programs (e.g., Uniswap/SushiSwap liquidity incentives) have led to higher volumes and temporary price lifts for rewarded tokens. However, impact may be short-lived: when the incentive ends, some liquidity and volume typically withdraws, which can increase volatility and downward pressure. For traders: expect increased liquidity, narrower spreads, and elevated volume during Dec 19–27—opportunities for momentum trades and arbitrage—but monitor post-campaign liquidity withdrawal risk and potential sell pressure as rewards are claimed.
