Genius Group Resumes Bitcoin Buying With 10 BTC

Genius Group has resumed Bitcoin accumulation, buying 10 BTC for about $854,000 between 2 and 5 October at an average price of $85,364 per coin. This is its first purchase since selling its entire 440-BTC reserve on 1 April to repay $8.5 million in debt. The company’s ability to hold Bitcoin had been restricted by a New York injunction linked to its dispute with LZG International; the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit overturned the order on 31 August. CEO Roger James Hamilton called the purchase a limited but important restart of the company’s Bitcoin strategy. Genius Group says future Bitcoin and AI-asset purchases may be funded through operating cash flow, preferred securities and share offerings, with no current plans to borrow or pledge its holdings as collateral.
Bullish
The purchase is a modest positive signal for BTC because it marks renewed corporate treasury demand after Genius Group sold its holdings and faced legal restrictions. In the short term, however, 10 BTC is small relative to Bitcoin’s market liquidity, so the transaction alone is unlikely to materially affect price or stability. Traders may read the restart as evidence that the company can resume accumulation, but the impact will depend on whether it makes further purchases and how those are funded. Over the longer term, sustained corporate buying could add incremental demand and support sentiment; this announcement does not establish a broader buying trend, and the company’s stated funding plans do not guarantee future purchases.
