GOAT Launches Real-Time ZK Rollup Testnet on Bitcoin L2

GOAT network has launched a real-time ZK Rollup testnet on Bitcoin L2. The solution uses BitVM2 and zkMIPS engines for proof generation. Users can see live proof times: block proof ~2.6s, aggregation ~2.7s, SNARK proof ~10.38s. The pipeline with distributed GPU provers and zkVM framework Ziren enables sub-minute real-time ZK Rollup proof creation. This cuts withdrawal waits to under a minute post-proof. GOAT supports bridge in/out, sequencer commitments via Taproot scripts, and reimbursement modules that avoid on-chain Peg-OUT transactions. Operators stake BTC to secure batching and earn native BTC yield from L2 gas fees. EVM compatibility invites Ethereum developers to build high-frequency dApps. The testnet marks a key infrastructure step for Bitcoin L2 adoption and native BTC yield products. Traders should watch for growing layer2 engagement and new BTCFi opportunities.
Bullish
GOAT’s real-time ZK Rollup testnet strengthens Bitcoin L2 infrastructure by slashing withdrawal times and boosting UX. Fast proofs under one minute and native BTC yield from staked operators can attract traders seeking efficiency and yield. EVM compatibility may draw Ethereum developers, driving greater L2 adoption. Similar to how zkSync and StarkNet spurred Ethereum scaling, this launch could catalyze Bitcoin L2 growth. In the short term, traders may increase positions in BTC and related L2 tokens on anticipation of rising on-chain activity. Long term, a robust Bitcoin L2 ecosystem with real-time ZK proofs and native yield could underpin sustained demand for BTC and layer2 solutions, fostering a bullish cycle.
