GSR Launches Hare Vaults With Up to $100M in Credit

GSR has launched Hare, an on-chain credit and vault business built with liquidity distribution platform Turtle. GSR plans to provide a multi-year credit facility of up to $100 million as anchor liquidity for Hare vaults. The facility is primarily credit lines, not a one-time cash investment; GSR intends to deploy its own capital first and later open the products to outside investors, including institutions. The first GSR Hare vaults are supported by Aave. Hare USD Earn pools major dollar stablecoins to generate lending yield. Hare Gold Earn, developed with Paxos Labs, offers yield for holders of tokenized gold products PAXG and PAXGy. Hare says it will assess collateral, counterparties and position risks, including under market stress. Vaults.fyi data cited in the later report put assets under management across about 788 curated on-chain vaults at $8.6 billion, with roughly 1.4 million users as of July 2026. The launch expands GSR from market making into on-chain credit and asset management, but does not by itself demonstrate demand for a specific crypto token.
Neutral
The news is neutral for the price of the named crypto assets. GSR’s planned credit lines and the launch of Hare vaults could support activity in on-chain lending and tokenized gold, but the reports do not identify direct buying pressure, token allocations, or a change in token economics for AAVE, PAXG or PAXGy. In the short term, traders may monitor deposits, vault utilization and any resulting activity on Aave. However, the launch alone provides no clear price catalyst, and the reported growth in the broader vault sector does not establish demand for these specific assets. Longer term, successful adoption could increase use of the associated platforms and products, while credit losses, liquidity stress or weak deposits could weigh on confidence. Until adoption and asset flows show a measurable effect, the likely direct price impact remains limited.
