HashKey Lists Tokenised Japanese Equity Strategy JX
HashKey Exchange has listed JX, a tokenised Japanese high-dividend equity strategy, on its Earn/wealth channel, expanding its real-world asset (RWA) offerings. DigiFT provides the tokenisation service, while SBI Asset Management manages the strategy, which invests in Japanese-listed companies based on dividends, fundamentals and valuations.
Eligible professional investors can subscribe to and redeem JX using USDC. The strategy seeks returns from dividends and capital appreciation, but neither the fund nor the token currently makes cash distributions. Holdings reported as of 31 August 2026 included Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, SoftBank, Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, Japan Tobacco, Citizen Watch, Mitsubishi Corporation and MS&AD.
The launch adds Japanese equities to HashKey Exchange’s range of tokenised assets, which includes money-market funds, precious metals, fixed income and private credit. JX gives qualified investors blockchain-based access to a Japanese equity strategy, but eligibility restrictions and the absence of cash distributions may limit its appeal. The development does not itself indicate a direct price catalyst for USDC.
Neutral
The news is neutral for the price of the cryptocurrency directly mentioned, USDC. JX subscriptions and redemptions use USDC, but the listing does not change USDC’s dollar peg, supply mechanism or reserve backing, and no material increase in USDC demand is established. In the short term, the launch may generate some transaction activity, but its professional-investor restriction is likely to limit that effect. Longer term, tokenised real-world assets could support broader stablecoin use if adoption grows; however, this product launch alone does not provide a clear basis for expecting a sustained USDC price move. JX is an investment token, but the article provides no separate market-price data or evidence of a direct impact on a widely traded cryptocurrency.
