HYPE Whale Deposits $24.29M to Exchanges
A HYPE whale has reportedly sold tokens for profit daily over the past two weeks, according to blockchain analytics data. Earlier deposits totalled 232,610 HYPE, worth about $19.67 million, sent to Bybit and Gate. More recent activity brings reported exchange deposits to 266,570 HYPE, valued at approximately $24.29 million. About 177,520 HYPE worth $16.08 million was transferred to OKX and Bybit roughly one hour before the latest report. Two days earlier, 89,050 HYPE worth $8.21 million was sent to Binance, Kraken, OKX and Gate. Rising HYPE exchange inflows may increase short-term selling pressure, but the transfers do not confirm that the tokens were sold. Traders should monitor HYPE price momentum, order-book liquidity, exchange balances and follow-up whale movements for signs of further distribution.
Bearish
The news is bearish for HYPE in the short term because a large holder has moved 266,570 HYPE, worth about $24.29 million, to major exchanges. Exchange deposits often increase the available supply for selling or hedging and can pressure price, particularly if order-book liquidity is limited. The reported pattern of repeated profitable selling over two weeks adds to distribution concerns. However, blockchain transfers do not prove that the tokens have been sold. If the whale retains the assets, uses them for collateral or moves them back to private wallets, the immediate price impact could fade. Traders should watch HYPE’s reaction near support levels, spot volume, exchange balances and follow-up wallet activity. Longer term, the effect will depend on whether selling continues and whether demand can absorb the whale’s supply.
