KIMCHI Jumps as Kimchi Restores Pump.fun Bio Link

KIMCHI briefly surged more than 150% on October 25 after Solana trader Kimchi added Pump.fun back to his X bio, three days after removing it. Its market value rose from about $6 million to $14 million before falling to roughly $8.8 million. Pump.fun and Kimchi have not confirmed whether their partnership is active again. The bio change followed a turbulent week. Pump.fun reportedly brought Kimchi on to help guide its creative direction on October 20, with a co-founder publicly announcing the collaboration the following day. A token Kimchi later promoted soared before crashing 98% after the post was deleted and a Pump.fun co-founder removed a repost. Lookonchain said early wallets made more than $385,000 from the drop. The tracker also reported that a trader bought $28,900 of KIMCHI shortly before the latest bio change and briefly showed an unrealized gain of about $11,000; the timing does not prove advance knowledge. An earlier report said Kimchi removed Pump.fun from his bio two days after the collaboration announcement. Over that period, Pump.fun revenue reportedly fell 16% and active addresses declined 11%. Kimchi may also have received 1.35 billion PUMP tokens, then worth about $6.25 million, as a marketing fee, though this was not confirmed in the later update. Renewed attention to KIMCHI comes ahead of Pump.fun’s Squads trading competition, but PUMP has not followed the meme coin’s rally. PUMP trades near $0.0042, about 20% below its October 21 high of $0.005224. The reported support levels are $0.003832 and $0.00375; regaining the 50-day EMA near $0.004607 could signal stronger momentum. For traders, KIMCHI’s sharp move highlights the risk of social-media-driven volatility, while the partnership’s unclear status leaves the rally vulnerable to a reversal.
Bullish
The immediate price impact on KIMCHI is bullish: the restored Pump.fun bio link coincided with a surge of more than 150%, showing that social-media signals can rapidly attract speculative buying. However, the move has already retraced substantially, and neither party has confirmed that the partnership has resumed. That uncertainty, combined with KIMCHI’s dependence on online attention and the recent 98% crash in another promoted token, raises the risk of sharp reversals. In the short term, momentum could persist if traders interpret the bio change as renewed promotion, but profit-taking or a denial could quickly pressure the price. Longer term, the news alone does not establish durable demand or project fundamentals, so the bullish assessment is limited to the immediate reaction rather than a sustained trend.
