Kraken xStocks Tops 1,000 Tokenized Assets

Kraken’s xStocks now offers more than 1,000 tokenized US stocks and ETFs, up from 131 listings in September 2026 and 60 when the product launched in June 2025. The latest expansion broadens the selection for eligible international clients, but does not announce new trading features or indicate a direct change to cryptocurrency markets. Kraken xStocks tokens track the price of underlying shares or funds and are backed 1:1 by assets held in regulated custody, but they do not provide shareholder rights. Tokens are issued on Solana, Ethereum and BNB Chain; some can be traded around the clock on Kraken Pro, bought fractionally or used in DeFi after withdrawal. As of September 2026, the product had recorded more than $40 billion in cumulative transaction volume, over $800 million in backing assets and more than 300,000 holders—figures reported before the latest expansion. Access is available in more than 110 countries, but not to users in the US, UK or Canada. For crypto traders, the wider range may support tokenized-equity and real-world-asset activity, while custody and regulatory restrictions remain important considerations.
Neutral
The expansion is a product and access development, not a direct catalyst for the price of any cryptocurrency. The summaries report no changes to crypto trading features, token economics or network activity that would clearly affect SOL, ETH or BNB. In the short term, the announcement could draw attention to tokenized assets, but any trading response in those coins is likely to be limited and sentiment-driven. Over the longer term, broader adoption of tokenized equities could increase activity on supporting networks, although the reported expansion alone does not establish that demand or token prices will rise. Custody arrangements, geographic restrictions and regulation remain material uncertainties.
