Meteora Builds Solana Meme-Coin Liquidity Share

Meteora is strengthening its position as a Solana meme-coin liquidity venue. Its weekly trading volume has rebounded from about $630 million in early August to roughly $1.5 billion, while meme coins recently accounted for 30%–45% of volume and more than 90% of protocol revenue. Meteora handles around 30% of Fomo’s Solana meme-coin trades and typically captures 25%–35% of meme-coin volume routed through Jupiter. The latest figures add context to its role in the market: Pump remains the leading venue, with close to 70% of trading when propAMMs are excluded, while Meteora attracts activity in tokens that have moved beyond their launch platforms. Its DLMM pools use concentrated liquidity and volatility-sensitive fees to compete for trades. An earlier analysis also noted that about 128 million MET, or 23% of circulating supply, is staked, and put the token’s fully diluted valuation at around $370 million. DLMM Pro could help Meteora attract projects earlier in their trading lifecycle. The growth may support the case for MET, but its prospects remain tied to meme-coin demand, competition from Raydium and PumpSwap, and overall market risk appetite.
Bullish
The news is moderately positive for MET because it highlights a recovery in Meteora’s trading volume, substantial meme-coin revenue contribution, and meaningful routed-volume share through Fomo and Jupiter. The earlier estimate that roughly 23% of circulating MET is staked may also suggest reduced immediately available supply, while DLMM Pro could support future platform growth. These factors may improve trader sentiment and encourage short-term interest in MET. However, the impact is not unambiguously bullish: the activity is heavily dependent on the volatile meme-coin sector, and Pump remains dominant while Raydium and PumpSwap compete for trades. If meme-coin volumes fade or Meteora loses routed flow, revenue expectations and MET sentiment could weaken. Longer term, sustained volume growth and broader adoption of Meteora’s liquidity products would strengthen the positive case; the reported activity alone does not guarantee token-price gains.
