NEAR’s Cross-Chain and AI Push Builds Bullish Case

An investor analysis presents NEAR as more than a layer-1 blockchain, with ambitions in cross-chain finance, privacy and decentralised AI. NEAR Intents is reported to have processed more than $33 billion in cumulative volume, including $4.76 billion over the past 30 days. The latest summary cites $223 million in total value locked (TVL), more than $53 million in cumulative fees and $2.15 million in net revenue over that 30-day period. An earlier summary put TVL at $2.23 billion, so the figures differ and should be checked against current data. The analysis points to integrations with Robinhood Chain, Hyperliquid and Ondo, and NEAR AI work on confidential computing and a GPU marketplace. NEAR’s annual inflation rate has reportedly fallen from 5% to 2.5%, with a proposal to cut it to 1.6%; protocol fees have also funded token buybacks. Bitwise launched a NEAR spot ETF, ticker NRR, on 29 September 2026, followed by a research report on 7 October. Together, NEAR’s reported activity, tokenomics and institutional access could support a bullish long-term case if usage and fee growth translate into lasting token demand. But the figures and thesis come from a bullish investor analysis: buybacks and adoption are not guaranteed, ETF assets under management are not the same as net inflows, and NEAR remains exposed to market volatility and execution risks.
Bullish
The news is bullish for NEAR because it highlights reported transaction activity, fees and revenue alongside token-supply measures that could improve the investment case. Lower inflation may reduce ongoing dilution, while fee-funded buybacks could add demand if they continue at meaningful scale. Cross-chain integrations, AI infrastructure and a spot ETF may also broaden NEAR’s user and investor base. In the short term, however, traders may respond more to overall crypto-market conditions and confirmation of the reported metrics than to long-term product plans. The differing TVL figures warrant verification, and neither ETF assets nor integrations guarantee net buying or sustained adoption. Over the longer term, continued usage and revenue growth could support token demand, but execution, competition and weak value capture would limit that effect. On balance, the developments lean positive for NEAR, but do not remove its volatility or downside risks.
