NEAR Business Launches Private Multichain Treasury Platform
NEAR Protocol has launched NEAR Business, an invite-only, self-custodial multisignature treasury platform for crypto-native teams and institutions. It brings payroll, vendor payments, cross-chain swaps and treasury management into one dashboard, supporting more than 35 blockchains and over 200 assets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana. NEAR Intents powers cross-chain transfers, while NEAR’s private sharding infrastructure is designed to keep transaction details confidential and allow approvals to be verified onchain through a Treasury Contract.
NEAR Business is free to use, with no subscription or per-seat fees. NEAR says it will cover gas for the first 1,000 actions each month; standard network fees apply thereafter, and swaps incur a 0.35% fee. The platform is onboarding users by invitation. Its significance for NEAR will depend on adoption and whether teams trust its custody, privacy and compliance arrangements.

The launch may support NEAR’s long-term utility by giving organizations another way to use its infrastructure for treasury operations, cross-chain transfers and payment workflows. The platform’s support for more than 35 chains and over 200 assets, alongside onchain approval verification and confidential transaction details, could help attract teams if the product earns their trust. However, the service is invite-only and adoption, revenue contribution and user demand have not yet been demonstrated. Free access and a 0.35% swap fee are not, by themselves, enough to establish a material near-term change in demand for NEAR. Traders may watch for onboarding growth, transaction activity and any resulting network usage; until such evidence emerges, the announcement is unlikely to imply a clear directional price move or meaningfully affect market stability.
