Ondo Tokenized Stocks Hit $1.26B TVL

Ondo Finance’s tokenized stocks platform, Ondo Stocks, surpassed $1 billion in total value locked (TVL) at about $1.01 billion on 15 August 2026 and later reached a record $1.26 billion. Launched in September 2025, the platform gives non-US retail and institutional investors tokenized exposure to more than 260 US stocks and ETFs, including returns linked to the underlying assets. Ondo Stocks operates on Ethereum, Solana and BNB Chain, and Ondo says its tokenized equities have generated several billion dollars in cumulative trading volume. The assets are also being used in leveraged trading and as collateral in DeFi lending markets. Ondo previously reported more than $18 billion in trading volume across supported chains and claimed over 70% market share in tokenized stocks and ETFs. A September 2026 SEC five-year innovation exemption covering selected tokenized US national market system stocks could support on-chain and 24/7 trading. Ondo executives forecast TVL of $5 billion by the end of 2026. The growth strengthens the tokenized stocks and real-world assets narrative, but traders should consider regulatory limits, liquidity and custody risks, and the platform’s exclusion of US investors.
Bullish
The record TVL and rapid growth in Ondo tokenized stocks are positive signals for Ondo Finance and its ONDO token because they indicate stronger demand, broader distribution and growing use of tokenized real-world assets. The platform’s presence on Ethereum, Solana and BNB Chain, along with its use in leverage and lending, could support ecosystem activity and improve investor sentiment in the short term. The SEC exemption may further strengthen the long-term adoption case by enabling more on-chain and potentially 24/7 trading. However, the direct price effect on ONDO may be limited because platform TVL does not automatically translate into token value. Regulatory uncertainty, custody and counterparty exposure, thin liquidity in some products, and the exclusion of US investors could trigger volatility or profit-taking. Overall, the development is bullish for ONDO’s market narrative, but traders should confirm the move with token volume, broader altcoin sentiment and sustained TVL growth.
