Phantom Adds Kalshi Prediction Markets for US Users

Phantom has launched Kalshi prediction markets for eligible US users, adding regulated event contracts to its crypto wallet. Through a new Predict tab, users can trade contracts on crypto prices, sports, politics, economics and culture; some Bitcoin contracts settle every 15 minutes. Trades can be funded with Phantom Cash, denominated in the CASH stablecoin, or supported Solana assets. Kalshi handles identity checks, accounts, execution and settlement, while Phantom provides the interface. Access varies by state and market category, with some restrictions in Michigan, Nevada and Washington. The launch follows conditional CFTC no-action relief in March. Regulatory uncertainty remains: the CFTC has sued Utah over its challenge to Kalshi contracts amid a wider dispute over federal derivatives rules and state gambling laws. Kalshi reported $10.8 billion in crypto-contract volume in the 30 days through Oct. 27, up 19.6% from the previous period. Separately, its reported total trading volume exceeded $291 billion in 2026 by late October. The Phantom-Kalshi integration expands access to prediction markets but does not, by itself, signal a shift in crypto prices.
Neutral
The Phantom-Kalshi launch does not directly change the supply, demand or fundamentals of Bitcoin or Solana, so its immediate price impact is likely neutral. In the short term, added wallet access may lift interest and trading activity in event contracts, but that does not necessarily translate into spot-market buying. Regulatory disputes and state-level restrictions could also temper adoption and contribute to uncertainty around prediction-market activity. Longer term, the integration may support broader crypto-wallet use and bring more users into digital-asset products, but any benefit to BTC or SOL prices would be indirect and depend on sustained adoption, market conditions and regulatory clarity. Traders should treat the launch as a product and access development, not a standalone price catalyst.
