Polygon Open Money Stack Adds US Payments and Stablecoin Partners

Polygon Labs has completed its acquisition of Coinme, adding U.S. payment coverage across 48 states through 37 money transmitter licences and 11 exemptions. Coinme is registered with FinCEN as a money services business. The deal expands the regulated payments infrastructure behind Polygon Open Money Stack (OMS), which combines wallets, fiat on- and off-ramps, payment routing, banking links and stablecoin settlement across blockchains. Tazapay, Mesh, Toku and Kira are adopting OMS for services including cross-border payments, account funding, payroll and U.S. dollar banking. Polygon says its chain has processed more than $3 trillion in cumulative stablecoin transfer volume. While OMS was described as live, the unified service is currently in technical preview for selected customers. The announcement provides no customer-volume forecasts or direct changes to POL token economics, so its near-term effect on POL remains uncertain.
Neutral
The acquisition and new integrations could strengthen Polygon’s payments infrastructure and support longer-term stablecoin adoption. That may improve the ecosystem’s utility and investor perception if the services attract users and generate sustained activity. However, the announcements provide no adoption forecasts, revenue figures or direct change to POL token economics, and OMS access remains limited during its technical preview. In the short term, traders may treat the news as a modest ecosystem-development signal rather than a clear driver of token demand. Over the longer term, measurable growth in usage could be supportive, but without evidence that it translates into value for POL, the price impact is uncertain. The most appropriate classification is neutral.
