PONS Hits Record High as Launchpad Fees Outpace pump.fun
PONS, the native token of the Robinhood Chain launchpad, reached an all-time high of $0.4714 on 1 September, gaining about 38% in 24 hours and lifting its market capitalisation to roughly $331 million. The rally followed strong launchpad activity and rising DeFi fees.
Pons V2 generated $4.22 million in fees over the previous 24 hours, compared with $1.72 million for pump.fun. Including Pons V1’s $510,000, total Pons fees reached $4.89 million, placing the protocol first among 141 launchpads. Earlier data showed approximately $5.03 million in daily fees. Pons also recorded $21.04 million in seven-day fees and $31.03 million over 30 days, with roughly 60% of its cumulative fees generated during the latest month.
Pons charges a 1% transaction fee on token launches, with revenue returned to the protocol. About 712 million PONS tokens are circulating, and its market capitalisation is close to its $329 million fully diluted valuation, indicating limited near-term unlock risk. However, PONS fees fell about 8% day on day, while revenue remains heavily dependent on speculative memecoin activity. Traders should treat the record high as bullish but monitor liquidity, launch volumes, user activity and fee sustainability.
Bullish
The news is bullish for PONS in the short term because the token reached a record high, gained about 38% in one day and was supported by launchpad fees that exceeded pump.fun’s. Strong seven-day and 30-day fee figures, combined with a market capitalisation close to fully diluted valuation, may attract momentum traders and reduce concerns about major near-term token unlocks.
The longer-term outlook is less certain. Pons’ revenue depends heavily on speculative memecoin launches, and daily fees have already declined about 8% from the previous day. Traders may therefore take profits after the sharp rally, particularly if launch volumes, liquidity or user activity weaken. Sustained protocol revenue could support PONS, but a fall in speculative activity could quickly reduce fee generation and increase price volatility. On balance, the immediate price signal is bullish, while the sustainability of the move remains unconfirmed.
