Public Companies’ Bitcoin Buying Surges to $360M, Led by Strive
Public companies excluding miners reportedly made $360 million in net Bitcoin purchases last week, up 1,500% from two weeks earlier, according to the latest SoSoValue figures. Strive drove more than 90% of the total, buying 4,045 BTC at an average price of $81,734. Strategy bought 267 BTC for about $22.1 million, while The Smarter Web Company acquired 83 BTC for $6.93 million. Bitmine reported a one-BTC purchase, and Metaplanet made no purchase. The latest report puts tracked public-company holdings at 1,161,643 BTC, worth about $95.41 billion, or 5.8% of Bitcoin’s circulating market value. This marks a sharp reversal from an earlier report of $22.5 million in net weekly buying and 1,163,359 BTC in holdings. The updated figures point to stronger corporate Bitcoin demand, although the latest buying surge was heavily concentrated in Strive.
Bullish
The latest report of $360 million in net corporate Bitcoin buying is a positive demand signal and could support BTC sentiment in the short term, particularly if traders interpret the increase as evidence of renewed treasury allocation. The sharp rise from the earlier $22.5 million figure is notable, but the reports also give different holding totals, so the figures should be treated as separate snapshots rather than a directly reconciled series. Buying was highly concentrated: Strive accounted for more than 90% of the latest total. That limits how confidently traders can read the surge as broad-based corporate demand, and any pause in large purchases could weaken the signal. Over the longer term, sustained public-company accumulation may reduce available supply and reinforce institutional adoption narratives. However, corporate buying is only one market indicator; BTC price direction will also depend on broader risk appetite, liquidity, fund flows and macroeconomic conditions. Overall, the news leans bullish for Bitcoin, but does not by itself establish a durable price trend.
