Pump.fun Sets Pump Bridge as Default, Reports Faster Swaps
Pump.fun has made Pump Bridge the default cross-chain trading service in its mobile app, replacing third-party provider Relay. Pump.fun says its in-app test found average buy execution of 1.95 seconds on Pump Bridge, compared with 3.88 seconds on Relay. Buy errors were 0.9% for Pump Bridge and 11.2% for Relay; earlier company figures also described Pump Bridge as roughly twice as fast, with errors below 1% versus more than 10% on Relay.
For USDC purchases under $500, Pump.fun reported a median execution gap of 3.0% for Pump Bridge and 3.6% for Relay. Pump Bridge currently charges no separate bridging fee, although other trading fees may apply. The service supports swaps across networks including Ethereum, Base and BNB Chain. Pump.fun has cited about 1.1 seconds as a theoretical target, not its current execution time.
The latest performance figures came from a randomized in-app test conducted from September 28 to October 7, covering more than 400,000 trade outcomes across several networks. Pump.fun says it plans to publish the underlying data, but the results have not been independently verified and may vary with trading conditions. For traders, the change could mean quicker swaps and fewer failed transactions, while giving Pump.fun more control over its cross-chain trading experience.
Neutral
The update is operational rather than a direct change to the fundamentals or supply of a specific cryptocurrency. Faster execution, fewer reported failed swaps and no separate bridging fee could improve the user experience and support activity on Pump.fun, but the reported figures are company-run test results and have not been independently verified. In the short term, traders may respond positively to the efficiency claims, but any effect on token prices is likely to be limited and may fade unless the change produces sustained growth in usage. Over the longer term, reliable cross-chain trading could help retain users and strengthen the platform, while inconsistent real-world performance or a lack of independently confirmed data could weaken confidence. On balance, the news does not provide a clear price-direction signal for the mentioned cryptocurrencies.
