ASSX Launches 2X Leveraged Strive Bitcoin Treasury ETF

REX Shares and Tuttle Capital Management launched the ASSX ETF on Cboe, offering 2x daily exposure to Strive Asset Management shares (ASST). The single-stock leveraged ETF targets 200% of ASST’s daily performance before fees and expenses and resets its leverage each day. ASSX does not hold Bitcoin directly and is not a leveraged Bitcoin ETF. Strive’s Bitcoin treasury has grown from 25,000 BTC reported on September 11 to 26,355 BTC in the later update. The company’s stock may therefore react to both Bitcoin prices and Strive’s operating performance. ASSX provides amplified short-term exposure to that equity and Bitcoin-related momentum, but it also carries single-stock concentration, financing, liquidity, counterparty and compounding risks. The ETF charges a 1.5% expense ratio and may use derivatives such as swaps. Multi-day returns can differ sharply from twice ASST’s cumulative performance, while a daily ASST loss above 50% could eliminate an investor’s principal. ASST closed the first trading session at $30.09, up 6.4%, while ASSX ended at $28.27 on roughly 123,946 shares of volume. Traders should monitor ASSX closely and avoid treating it as direct leveraged Bitcoin exposure.
Neutral
The ASSX launch is primarily an equity-market development and does not create direct buying demand for BTC because the fund does not hold Bitcoin or track its spot price. In the short term, the product could increase trading activity and speculative interest in Strive shares, particularly when Bitcoin rises or Bitcoin treasury stocks gain momentum. That effect may improve sentiment around Bitcoin-related equities but is unlikely to materially change BTC’s supply-demand balance. Over the longer term, wider adoption of Bitcoin treasury companies and leveraged products could strengthen the market narrative around corporate BTC accumulation. However, daily leverage resets, volatility decay, forced deleveraging and sharp losses can also increase instability in the related equity market. Because these risks are concentrated in ASST and ASSX rather than BTC itself, the direct price impact on Bitcoin is expected to remain limited and therefore neutral.
