Robinhood Chain Memecoin Operation Allegedly Extracted $18.4M
An onchain investigation has linked 53 Robinhood Chain memecoin launches to one alleged token-extraction operation that generated at least $18.43 million between 10 July and 21 September 2026. Analyst Wazz identified recurring wallet funding, deployment and transaction patterns. The Block independently matched the launch structure in 10 tokens, although the broader attribution remains unproven and does not identify the wallet owners.
The alleged operation reportedly exploited Pons V2’s anti-sniping system. The platform applies high taxes to purchases made immediately after launch, but creators can exempt selected wallets. Those wallets allegedly made concentrated opening buys and acquired dominant token supplies. Nearly every reviewed launch was reportedly sniped for more than 70% of its supply, often through bundles containing 70 to 200 wallets. Wazz linked 45 launches through fund movements, while other connections involved shared private keys, collector wallets and funding relationships.
In the DEED case, 179.88 ETH was reportedly swept from 98 wallets, routed through intermediaries and used to fund 50 addresses before launch. The creator and tax-exempt wallets held 86% of DEED after the opening purchases. The investigation also cited repeated PINK and CRUMBS launches that may have created hype before genuine contracts appeared, with estimated extraction of $1.44 million and $3.12 million respectively.
Robinhood Chain launched on 1 July 2026 as an Ethereum layer-2 built with Arbitrum technology. Memecoin trading has driven early network activity and fees, with reported network revenue of about $50 million since launch and roughly $40 million in September. The allegations could increase scrutiny of Robinhood Chain, wallet concentration and launch-platform safeguards. Traders should monitor liquidity, holder distribution and creator-wallet activity, as much of the alleged ETH reportedly remains onchain and is difficult to freeze.
Bearish
The direct price impact on Robinhood Chain’s associated ecosystem is likely bearish. In the short term, allegations of concentrated token ownership, coordinated launches and possible supply extraction could reduce trader confidence, weaken liquidity and increase selling pressure across Robinhood Chain memecoins. Traders may also demand higher risk premiums or avoid new launches until wallet distributions and creator funding are clearer.
The reported network revenue and strong memecoin activity provide a counterpoint, but they are unlikely to offset concerns about market integrity immediately. In the longer term, greater scrutiny could lead to stronger launch controls, improved wallet disclosure and healthier token distribution. Those changes may support the ecosystem after implementation. However, if the allegations remain unresolved or similar launches continue, reputational damage could slow activity and undermine the sustainability of Robinhood Chain’s fee growth. Because no specific individuals have been identified and the investigation remains an onchain attribution, the bearish view is focused on near-term confidence and liquidity risks rather than a confirmed protocol failure.
