Robinhood Crypto Holdings Are Customer Assets, Not Treasury BTC

Robinhood crypto holdings linked to nearly 1.7 million addresses were initially estimated at about $24.78 billion across 12 blockchains. Updated Arkham Intelligence data placed the balance at roughly $24.96 billion to $25 billion on 1 October 2026. The assets are held for customers, not as a Robinhood corporate Bitcoin treasury. Bitcoin is the largest holding, at about 185,185 BTC worth up to $15.63 billion. Robinhood-linked wallets also contain roughly 1.576 million ETH valued at about $4.24 billion, and 30.434 billion DOGE worth up to $2.88 billion. Smaller holdings include SOL and other tokens. Arkham has also expanded coverage of Robinhood Chain, a Layer 2 network focused on tokenised equities and meme-related activity. A viral X post incorrectly claimed that Robinhood bought $25 million of Bitcoin for its balance sheet. Company disclosures show no such purchase or change in its treasury strategy. The Robinhood crypto holdings mainly represent customer custody balances, while the company earns revenue from trading and related services. Traders should therefore avoid treating exchange or broker wallet balances as evidence of institutional buying. Internal transfers may also resemble deposits, withdrawals or sales, and the value will change with market prices and customer activity.
Neutral
The news is neutral for BTC, ETH and DOGE because it does not confirm new corporate buying or a change in Robinhood’s treasury strategy. The large balances mainly reflect customer custody and existing trading activity, so they do not represent fresh institutional demand. In the short term, the clarification could reduce speculative buying based on the viral claim that Robinhood purchased Bitcoin. Traders may also monitor wallet flows for changes in retail positioning, but internal transfers can create misleading signals. The large DOGE balance highlights Robinhood users’ exposure to meme coins, which may increase sensitivity to retail sentiment and sudden volatility. Over the longer term, Robinhood’s significant custody footprint supports its importance to crypto liquidity and retail market access. However, wallet balances will fluctuate with asset prices, deposits, withdrawals and customer trades. The data alone does not establish a bullish or bearish trend, making a neutral market impact the most appropriate assessment.
