Schwab Crypto to Add SOL, AVAX and LINK
Charles Schwab plans to add Solana (SOL), Avalanche (AVAX) and Chainlink (LINK) to Schwab Crypto in the coming months. The expansion will take the platform beyond Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), which began rolling out to clients in May 2026. Schwab has not confirmed a launch date, and the three tokens are not yet available.
Schwab said the planned listings reflect client demand for established digital assets. Schwab Crypto charges a 75-basis-point fee on each trade and operates through Charles Schwab Premier Bank, SSB. The service is unavailable in New York, Louisiana and US territories.
The addition could broaden retail access to SOL, AVAX and LINK through a major traditional brokerage. However, the immediate price impact is likely to be limited because availability will be phased in and the timeline remains uncertain. Schwab reported $13.04 trillion in client assets and 39.9 million active brokerage accounts at the end of July, highlighting the platform’s potential long-term distribution reach.
Schwab also offers spot BTC and ETH trading and 24/7 crypto futures linked to BTC, ETH, SOL and XRP through thinkorswim. It has warned that digital assets are speculative and are not FDIC-insured deposits or protected by SIPC.
