Strive Adds 3,311 BTC, Raising Holdings to 32,773

Strive bought 3,311 BTC for about $280 million between Oct. 5 and Oct. 9, at an average price of roughly $84,500 per coin. The purchase, its largest since January, brings Strive’s Bitcoin holdings to 32,773 BTC, worth about $2.73 billion at the prices cited. It is now the fifth-largest publicly traded Bitcoin holder, behind Strategy, Twenty One, Metaplanet and MARA. The Nasdaq-listed firm (ASST) has accelerated its Bitcoin treasury strategy with recent purchases of $169 million and $94.5 million, and its merger with Semler Scientific expanded its balance sheet. Strive also holds about $310 million in cash and roughly $50 million in Strategy preferred stock. The company says it has bought Bitcoin without debt and has no margin requirements or encumbered Bitcoin. The latest Bitcoin purchase came as BTC traded below recent highs, while corporate treasuries including Strategy, DeFi Development Corp. and Bitmine continued accumulating. Strive shares edged lower on Tuesday but are up nearly 60% year to date. The buying adds to corporate demand for Bitcoin, though the company’s concentration in a volatile asset leaves its finances and share price exposed to sharp market swings.
Bullish
Strive’s 3,311 BTC purchase adds to visible corporate demand and may support Bitcoin sentiment in the short term, particularly as other corporate treasuries are also accumulating. However, one company’s purchase is small relative to Bitcoin’s overall market and does not guarantee an immediate price rise; BTC was still trading below recent highs. Over the longer term, continued treasury buying could provide a source of demand, but traders should also weigh broader market liquidity, price momentum and the risk that corporate accumulation slows or reverses. The news is therefore modestly supportive rather than a decisive price catalyst.
