Strive Raises Bitcoin Holdings to 35,595 BTC, Tops MARA

Strive bought 2,822 BTC for about $235 million, at an average price of roughly $83,266 per coin, bringing its Bitcoin holdings to 35,595 BTC. The company said its treasury was worth about $2.9 billion at a Bitcoin price near $82,000. After MARA Holdings recently sold some Bitcoin, its reported balance fell to 35,577 BTC, putting Strive ahead as the fourth-largest corporate Bitcoin holder. The purchase followed Strive’s acquisition of 3,311 BTC between Oct. 5 and Oct. 9, and the company has added more than 8,100 BTC in about three weeks. Strive also reported roughly $369 million in gross proceeds from warrant exercises; one account said 94% of traditional warrants had been exercised, while an earlier update said they were fully exercised by Oct. 13. The company is also offering SATS perpetual preferred shares with a 15% fixed rate. These purchases add to corporate Bitcoin treasury demand, but their wider price effect will depend on future buying, market conditions and the company’s financing activity.
Neutral
Strive’s purchase adds a sizeable source of corporate demand for Bitcoin and its move ahead of MARA may support short-term sentiment around corporate treasury accumulation. However, the buying is specific to one company and is not, on its own, evidence of a broader shift in Bitcoin demand or a durable market trend. The reported purchases may provide limited support if traders interpret them as continued institutional interest, but the effect on BTC price is likely to be small compared with broader market liquidity, macroeconomic news and spot trading flows. Over the longer term, continued corporate accumulation could contribute to demand, while reliance on warrants and preferred-share financing creates execution and funding risks that could limit or interrupt future purchases. On balance, the news is neutral for Bitcoin’s price.
