Visa Stablecoin Settlement Tops $25B Annualized

Visa said its annualized stablecoin settlement volume topped $25 billion in its fiscal fourth-quarter 2026 earnings call, up tenfold year over year. Its stablecoin settlement platform supports 10 blockchains, operates across all five of its regions and has more than 300 partners in its pipeline. The service is available in the US, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Switzerland and the UK. Open USD launched on 30 September and had more than $800 million in circulating supply by 15 October. Visa also reported more than 225 stablecoin-linked card programs, up over 70% year over year, with 5 million cards issued across more than 50 countries and transaction volume up over 150%. The figures show expanding stablecoin settlement and payment infrastructure, but do not point to immediate price effects for any specific crypto asset.
Neutral
The reports describe strong growth in Visa’s stablecoin settlement and card infrastructure, but provide no direct evidence of increased buying pressure for a specific cryptocurrency. In the short term, traders may view the figures as a positive signal for stablecoin adoption and payment use, but the data alone is unlikely to trigger a sustained price move in any token. Over the longer term, wider settlement and card adoption could support blockchain activity and improve the sector’s utility. However, the summaries do not identify which networks benefit most or indicate that Visa’s growth translates into demand for their native tokens, so the price impact remains uncertain and is best assessed as neutral.
