Webull to Launch Kalshi Bitcoin Perpetual Futures in November
Webull plans to offer Kalshi Bitcoin perpetual futures to eligible U.S. customers from November 2026, with wider access expected before year-end. Announced on October 20, the rollout will initially be limited to customers approved for futures trading through Webull Futures accounts. The contracts will be listed on KalshiEX and cleared by Kalshi Klear. Kalshi’s Bitcoin perpetual futures, approved by the CFTC on May 29 and launched in June, have no fixed expiry and are cash-settled, giving traders Bitcoin price exposure without delivering BTC. Positions are subject to margin requirements, liquidation risk and periodic funding payments; Kalshi says funding is adjusted three times a day. Webull has not disclosed its exact launch date, fees, margin schedule or whether it will offer other cryptocurrencies. The brokerage channel could broaden access to regulated Bitcoin derivatives, but does not ensure better liquidity or lower costs. Funding charges and leverage can increase risk, so the launch alone is not a clear signal for Bitcoin’s price.
Neutral
The announcement is unlikely to have a direct, material effect on Bitcoin’s spot price in the short term. It adds a regulated U.S. brokerage route for Bitcoin perpetual futures, which may attract more derivatives traders and support market access, but the initial rollout is limited and Webull has not disclosed key details such as fees, margin terms or launch timing. The product is cash-settled, so trading does not require delivery or direct purchases of BTC. Over the longer term, broader regulated access could deepen derivatives participation and potentially improve price discovery, but it does not guarantee additional spot demand or stronger liquidity. Leverage, funding payments and liquidations may amplify volatility in futures markets without establishing a clear directional bias for Bitcoin. Overall, the news is an infrastructure and access development rather than a decisive bullish or bearish catalyst.
