Binance XRP Outflows Follow Breach as Ledger Activity Rises
Binance recorded net outflows of 14.97 million XRP on November 2, as withdrawals of 15.32 million XRP exceeded deposits of 341,700 XRP. Its XRP reserves fell 5.2% over 30 days to 2.38 billion XRP, while active XRP Ledger accounts rose above 36,300, according to analyst Xaif Crypto.
The movements followed a reported October 29 security breach in which five Binance hot wallets transferred 233.46 million XRP to an attacker-controlled address. Binance temporarily suspended withdrawals and restored them in phases. The breach may have prompted users to move XRP into self-custody, so the outflows do not necessarily indicate investor accumulation.
Lower Binance XRP reserves may reduce the supply readily available for trading, while higher ledger activity points to increased network participation. However, active-account data does not reveal transaction value, and the outflows alone do not establish a bullish trend. Traders may monitor Binance XRP reserves and XRP Ledger activity as withdrawal services resume.
Neutral
The immediate price signal for XRP is mixed. Falling Binance reserves can mean fewer tokens are readily available to sell on the exchange, which may reduce near-term sell-side liquidity. But the reported outflows followed a security breach and phased withdrawal resumption, so they may reflect users moving funds into self-custody rather than a deliberate investment or accumulation trend. The increase in active XRP Ledger accounts suggests greater network participation, but it does not show the scale or economic value of activity. In the short term, security concerns and uncertainty around withdrawals could add volatility or weigh on sentiment; continued outflows could also be interpreted as supportive if they persist after services normalize. Over the longer term, reserve and account trends may help traders assess liquidity and network use, but neither metric alone establishes a sustained price direction. The available evidence therefore supports a neutral classification.
