Zcash ETF Draws $41.1M as Bitcoin and Ether Funds Diverge

Grayscale’s Zcash ETF, ZCSH, recorded $41.1 million in net inflows for the week ending October 23, its strongest weekly result since mid-September. After three weeks of outflows totalling $143 million, the fund saw inflows on four consecutive days, though the latest gain recovered less than a third of that earlier decline. ZEC rose about 7% and traded near or above $1,200 during the week. ZCSH had approximately $686 million in assets under management and held more than 3% of Zcash’s circulating supply, making ETF flows a potential source of both buying pressure and downside risk. The wider crypto ETF picture was mixed. US spot Bitcoin ETFs ended the week with $301.2 million in net inflows despite more than $500 million in outflows over two days. Spot Ether ETFs recorded about $220.7 million in net outflows. The figures show renewed demand for the Zcash ETF but do not, on their own, establish a lasting shift in investor sentiment.

ZCSH’s $41.1 million weekly inflow is a positive signal for Zcash demand, particularly after three weeks of withdrawals, and ZEC’s roughly 7% rise provides a supportive price backdrop. However, the inflow only reversed a portion of the prior $143 million outflow. A fund holding more than 3% of circulating ZEC also creates two-way flow sensitivity: continued subscriptions may require additional token purchases, while renewed redemptions could add selling pressure. Broader ETF data offers no clear market-wide confirmation. Bitcoin ETFs finished positive at $301.2 million, but the total was concentrated in early-week buying and followed substantial late-week outflows. Ether ETFs lost about $220.7 million. Similar to past periods when fund-flow data diverged across crypto assets, traders may interpret this as selective allocation rather than a broad-based return of risk appetite. In the short term, ZEC could benefit if inflows persist and the token holds its recent price gains, but volatility may remain high as traders respond to daily ETF flows and wider market moves. Longer term, sustained ZCSH demand could improve regulated access and support Zcash’s market profile. One strong week is not enough to establish a durable trend; continued inflows, price resilience, and broader crypto conditions will be important confirmation signals.
