BTC Trader Closes $8.7M Long After Earlier $12.3M Exit

A BTC trader with more than $21.7 million in cumulative gains was reported to have closed a long position worth about $12.31 million on 16 October 2026, booking an estimated $180,500 profit. A later report detailed the trader’s activity through 21 October: the address had a reported 100% win rate across 37 BTC trading rounds since 18 September and fully closed a 104.81036 BTC long, valued at about $8.70 million, between 07:02 and 16:50 UTC+8. The later report gave a weighted entry price of $82,971.69 and a weighted closing price of $83,068.30. These reports show notable BTC long-position closures, but a single trader’s activity does not establish a broader shift in BTC market sentiment.

Malaysia Launches SSDS+ Tokenized Bond Platform

Bank Negara Malaysia has launched SSDS+, a distributed-ledger platform for issuing, recording and safeguarding tokenized bonds, including sukuk. The tokenized bond platform connects securities records to RENTAS+, enabling round-the-clock settlement in central bank money. It is designed mainly for wholesale issuance but can also support government securities and corporate retail bonds. The central bank has not disclosed an initial issuer or transaction volumes. The launch follows Khazanah Nasional’s RM100 million tokenized sukuk pilot in April and advances BNM’s three-year asset-tokenization roadmap, announced in November 2025. BNM has also tested ringgit stablecoins and tokenized bank deposits through its Digital Asset Innovation Hub. The rollout expands Malaysia’s digital securities infrastructure, but its market impact will depend on real issuance and adoption.

Aptos Encrypted Mempool Adds MEV Protection to Decibel

Decibel Trade has enabled Aptos Encrypted Mempool, giving traders an optional way to conceal order details while transactions await execution. The feature is designed to reduce frontrunning and sandwich attacks by encrypting transaction payloads before submission. Sender addresses and gas fees remain public, and validators collectively decrypt orders after block finalization under Aptos’ stake-weighted security mechanism. Aptos Encrypted Mempool went live on mainnet on October 12 under governance proposal AIP-144; Decibel announced support on October 21. Benchmarks reported around 20 milliseconds of added latency per block in a 50-node test, while earlier testing cited roughly 20–27 milliseconds of additional latency and throughput above 1,000 transactions per second. Decibel, an Aptos-incubated spot and perpetuals exchange, has recorded more than $8.2 billion in cumulative volume since its February 2026 mainnet launch, including about $1.3 billion in the 30 days before mid-October. The feature adds transaction privacy to Aptos trading infrastructure, but does not directly create demand for APT. Its market significance depends on adoption, performance during busy periods and whether protected execution attracts more trading activity to the network.

ADA Rebounds, but Risks a 24% Drop Below $0.21

Cardano’s ADA has rebounded nearly 3% to about $0.2235, following a weekly decline of more than 12% from an early-October high near $0.28. The latest update adds a bearish SuperTrend signal: analyst Ali Martinez says a daily close below support near $0.21 could expose ADA to a fall towards $0.17, about 24% below its current price. A similar signal in May preceded a 46% correction, though past performance may not repeat. The earlier outlook was mixed. ADA had closed above its 200-day moving average, and analysts said a move above $0.23 could support a recovery towards $0.25. Recent exchange outflows may also have eased immediate selling pressure. However, whale sales exceeding 110 million ADA in about five days, a drop of more than 40% in daily active addresses and a break below rising-channel support weighed on the outlook. ADA remains below short-term moving averages at $0.2255 and $0.2394, while its RSI of 44.35 signals weak momentum. Balances among wallets holding 100 million to 1 billion ADA have changed little over the past 10 days, showing no clear new accumulation or distribution. Traders are watching $0.21 as key support and $0.2255, $0.23 and $0.2394 as resistance. The near-term Cardano price outlook remains fragile unless ADA reclaims resistance; a confirmed break below $0.21 would increase downside risk.

Gate Reserves Reach $8.688B, Coverage Rises to 118.49%

Gate’s latest proof-of-reserves report puts total reserves at $8.688 billion as of 18 October 2026, up 5.7% from the previous report. Customer net assets were $7.332 billion, lifting overall reserve coverage to 118.49% from 117.26%. The report covers 500 assets and shows Gate reserves exceeding customer holdings across the assets disclosed. BTC and ETH coverage stood at 121.60% and 123.78%. Four stablecoins—USDT, USD1, GUSD and USDC—had combined coverage of 116.59%. DOGE, GT and SOL coverage was 106.76%, 129.00% and 102.51%, respectively. Gate says its proof-of-reserves process uses wallet ownership checks, user balance snapshots, Merkle trees and zero-knowledge proofs. The higher coverage may reassure traders about disclosed assets, but proof-of-reserves figures alone do not establish an exchange’s overall financial health or remove other risks.

Bitcoin Treasury Firms Face Rising Funding Costs

Bitcoin treasury firm Strive raised $630 million through a preferred-share offering, about 25% above its initial target. The shares carry a 15% stated dividend, and their discounted issue price lifts the effective yield to nearly 17%—around 1,300 basis points above the roughly 4.2% one-year US Treasury yield. The deal highlights rising financing costs for Bitcoin treasury companies seeking capital to buy more BTC. Strategy’s 12% STRC preferred offering has been stalled since its share price fell in June; it is instead using at-the-market common-stock sales to fund Bitcoin purchases, diluting existing shareholders. The shift from zero-coupon convertible debt to high-yield funding raises the cost of the treasury model. If Bitcoin’s long-term gains do not exceed those costs, pressure on company cash flows and balance sheets could grow, potentially limiting future purchases.

SquidSquad Suspected in $2.84M BNB Chain Theft

An institution reportedly lost about $2.84 million in a BNB Chain theft on 8 October. Blockchain investigator ZachXBT suspects the attack was linked to North Korea-associated group SquidSquad, though the victim and the method used to access its assets have not been identified. The suspected BNB Chain theft has not been definitively attributed to the group. On 20 October, the attacker reportedly deposited 1,111.2 ETH into Tornado Cash and withdrew it to three Ethereum wallets. The funds were then bridged to Tron using USDT0 and consolidated in two addresses that ZachXBT said had transaction links to wallets previously attributed to North Korean operators. Intermediaries subsequently routed the funds to addresses attributed to Chinese over-the-counter traders. There is no confirmation that the funds were cashed out or frozen, and investigators have not established a direct link to other recent Tornado Cash cases. The suspected SquidSquad theft underscores continuing crypto security and laundering risks, but the reported loss is limited in scale and does not by itself indicate a broad market threat. Traders may watch for further evidence or any response affecting BNB Chain, but the incident’s direct price impact on BNB is likely limited unless wider security concerns emerge.

Netflix Stock Falls as Ad Forecast and Q4 Guidance Miss

Netflix stock was already under pressure ahead of its third-quarter report, down about 23% in 2026 and more than 40% from its 52-week high. Investors were watching audience growth, job cuts, leadership changes and the company’s advertising business. The results later showed revenue up 11.8% year over year to $12.87 billion, net income rising 44% to $3.66 billion and earnings per share of $0.87, above analysts’ $0.82 estimate. However, revenue growth was the slowest in nearly three years. Netflix stock fell nearly 6% in after-hours trading after the company cut its 2026 advertising revenue target by $300 million to $2.7 billion and issued weaker-than-expected fourth-quarter guidance: revenue of $13.44 billion and EPS of $0.67. Netflix cited a slower rollout of advertising products. About 1,000 job cuts and Peter Rice’s appointment as chief content officer have also raised questions about its growth and content strategy as it competes with Disney+, Amazon Prime Video and YouTube. The report has no direct implications for cryptocurrency prices, though it may contribute slightly to wider tech-sector risk sentiment.

On-Chain TCGs Drive Faster Card Trading, but Risks Remain

On-chain trading card games (TCGs) are turning collectible cards into faster-circulating digital inventory. Courtyard users can open digital packs, hold cards in a vault, request physical delivery or sell cards back to the platform, allowing repeated trades without shipping the physical card each time. Courtyard’s founder says cards sell an average of eight times a month; data cited in the articles shows monthly sales rising from about $449,000 in April 2024 to roughly $66 million in April 2025. That growth illustrates increased activity, but does not establish sustainable profitability. The newer report adds that rapid pack-opening and resale can resemble gambling, and that familiar franchises do not guarantee investment returns. It cites more than 85 billion Pokémon cards produced by March 2026, 150 million downloads of Pokémon TCG Pocket by October 2025, and a forecast of about $16.3 billion for the global TCG market in 2026. Hasbro reported $1.72 billion in 2025 revenue from Magic: The Gathering tabletop and digital products, up 59% year on year. For crypto traders, the development points to interest in tokenized collectibles and digital ownership, rather than a direct cryptocurrency price catalyst. On-chain credentials and stablecoin settlement could support trading across wallets and services, but platforms still face risks around custody, card pricing, fair pack odds, inventory exposure and meeting buyback or redemption demand. The articles provide no evidence of a material impact on major cryptocurrency prices.

Tesla-SpaceX Merger Odds Rise, but Contracts Differ

Prediction markets show growing interest in a possible Tesla-SpaceX merger, but the odds vary by contract and deadline. An earlier CNBC report put the chance of an announcement by 1 July 2027 at 50%, with separate contracts at 27% by 1 February 2027 and 31.5% by 1 March 2027. A later Polymarket monitor showed a 23% probability of an announcement by 31 December 2026, up 7 percentage points in 24 hours. These figures concern different deadlines and should not be treated as a direct like-for-like change. Under the later contract, an official merger or acquisition announcement by either company qualifies even if the deal is not completed; a partial acquisition counts only if it transfers control. Settlement relies mainly on official announcements, with consistent reporting from multiple credible outlets also considered. Tesla and SpaceX have not confirmed merger plans. For traders, Tesla-SpaceX merger odds are a sentiment signal, not verified corporate news, and do not in themselves indicate a direct effect on cryptocurrency prices.

Solana Alpenglow Upgrade Targets 150ms Finality

Solana is scheduled to begin its Alpenglow network upgrade on Wednesday, marking a major architectural change to its validator system. Alpenglow replaces on-chain voting with off-chain voting and certificates, targeting transaction finality of about 150 milliseconds, down from roughly six seconds—around 40 times faster. If achieved on mainnet, faster finality could improve Solana’s appeal for trading and payments. The Solana upgrade also replaces validator vote fees, which currently total about 2 SOL a day, with a fixed fee of 0.8 SOL per epoch. Related validator costs are expected to fall by about 60%. The rollout is scheduled for epoch 1064, with a 5,000-slot transition. Earlier testnet migration attempts included a failure that was rolled back; a later migration succeeded, clearing the way for the planned launch.

SpaceX-Tesla Merger Talks: Bitcoin Holdings in Focus

SpaceX and Tesla have formed independent committees to review a potential SpaceX-Tesla merger. Elon Musk supports the idea but says no terms have been agreed and a deal is not guaranteed. He is excluded from committee discussions because of a conflict of interest. Any proposal would require shareholder approval; at Tesla, more than half of all shares must vote in favour. Musk has cited possible cooperation in AI, chip design, robotics and connectivity. The merger remains at an early stage, despite existing commercial and financial ties between the companies. The discussions followed SpaceX’s third-quarter results: revenue rose 161% year on year to $14.575 billion. Its Super Intelligence division generated $7.56 billion, ahead of Starlink’s $5.248 billion. SpaceX shares rose about 8% in after-hours trading, while Tesla gained about 1.8%. For crypto traders, the key potential link is a combined corporate Bitcoin treasury. Previously cited disclosures put SpaceX’s holdings at 18,712 BTC and Tesla’s at 11,509 BTC, or 30,221 BTC combined. The SpaceX-Tesla merger is not certain, however, and no change to either company’s Bitcoin holdings has been confirmed. The talks may influence sentiment around corporate Bitcoin adoption, but have no direct impact on Bitcoin’s fundamentals.

Bitcoin Rebounds Above $83,000 on ETF Inflows, Short Squeeze

Bitcoin recovered above $83,000 around 20–21 October after trading near $81,717 earlier, while Ethereum rose to about $2,455. The later update attributed the rebound partly to a short squeeze: roughly $195 million in crypto short positions were liquidated in 24 hours, out of $279 million in total liquidations. Ethereum had the largest token-level liquidations, at about $93 million. Stronger Dow Jones trading and improving sentiment also coincided with the move, with the Crypto Fear & Greed Index rising from 55 to 63. US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $527 million in net inflows on 19 October, ending two weeks of outflows; BlackRock’s IBIT reported $665 million in inflows. Strategy also disclosed buying 267 BTC in the week to 18 October, bringing its holdings to 848,517 BTC. However, spot Ethereum ETFs had seen four consecutive days of outflows totalling about $363 million. Technical signals remained mixed: Bitcoin was near its 20-day moving average, while Ethereum’s RSI was weak. Traders are watching whether Bitcoin ETF demand can persist after the short squeeze, alongside interest-rate uncertainty and the US third-quarter GDP estimate due on 29 October.

LAPTOP Token Burn and Prediction-Linked Supply Plan

Hunter Biden said more than 12% of the LAPTOP token supply has been permanently burned, while another 30% is linked to real-world prediction events. Hyperliquid Policy Center Seeks Five SEC Crypto Rule Changes

The Hyperliquid Policy Center (HPC) supports the US Securities and Exchange Commission’s proposed Regulation Crypto Assets, but asked the agency to make five changes in a comment letter submitted on 19 October. The Hyperliquid Policy Center says clearer rules could reduce legal uncertainty for US crypto projects. Its recommendations cover airdrop protections, definitions of intermediaries in secondary-market and on-chain trading, safe-harbor eligibility, token buybacks and federal protections. HPC wants the SEC to clarify that receiving tokens without payment does not automatically count as investing money, and to explain whether exempt tokens can trade through on-chain protocols without intermediaries registering. It also seeks a safe harbor that does not presume a token was previously part of an investment contract, protections for project development, guidance distinguishing automatic from discretionary buybacks, and continued state-registration exemptions for qualifying projects. The SEC proposal would let startups issue up to $5 million in tokens over four years and create a separate fundraising exemption capped at $75 million in any 12-month period. The proposals are not final rules. For traders, the debate could affect the regulatory outlook for US-based token projects, but it does not directly change HYPE’s fundamentals or establish an immediate market catalyst.

OpenAI Buys Orchestra Bio to Expand AI Drug Development

OpenAI has acquired San Francisco-based Orchestra Bio, adding AI agents that track drug-development programs and flag delays to its Rosalind life-sciences suite. The financial terms were not disclosed, and OpenAI has not said when the agents will be integrated. The acquisition broadens OpenAI’s AI drug development strategy from providing biology and chemistry models and data-analysis tools to coordinating work across drug programs. Orchestra’s agents can assess how problems, such as a failed manufacturing batch, may affect schedules and compare possible responses. Scientists and program leaders retain final decision-making authority. OpenAI aims to build specialised agents that help turn research findings into next steps and improve coordination among drug companies and external partners. The deal comes as competition grows in biotech AI: Anthropic acquired Coefficient Bio for about $400 million in April. OpenAI cites estimates that drug development can take up to 15 years and cost more than $2.6 billion per approved medicine, while fewer than 10% of candidates entering human trials reach the market. For crypto traders, the OpenAI acquisition has no direct link to cryptocurrency prices or market stability. Any effect is likely to be indirect, through broader sentiment toward AI and technology stocks. The development may reinforce interest in AI, but it does not provide a clear crypto trading signal.

SpaceX Raises AI Compute Target to 13 GW by 2027

SpaceX has raised its AI compute target to at least 13 gigawatts by the end of 2027, up from an earlier plan for about 10 GW. Capacity stood at 1.7 GW in September 2026, with an interim goal of more than 2 GW by year-end. Reaching the new target would require adding about 10 GW in 2027, far faster than the 0.3 GW increase between the second and third quarters of 2026. Elon Musk says SpaceX is installing about 200,000 Nvidia GB300 GPUs a month for the rest of 2026, before shifting deployments towards Nvidia’s Vera Rubin systems. A 440,000-GPU training cluster is expected to come online by mid-2027. The company also plans 15–20 GW of power and cooling infrastructure by the end of 2027. Earlier plans included reserving around 60% of compute for internal use, including xAI and Tesla, and selling the remainder to outside customers such as Google and Anthropic. SpaceX has also discussed an orbital AI platform, Starmind, with initial launches planned for 2027 and a broader rollout in 2028. SpaceX’s Super Intelligence segment, which includes xAI cloud services, reported $7.56 billion in third-quarter 2026 revenue, up 830% year over year. Musk has forecast $300 billion to $500 billion in annual recurring revenue at the proposed capacity and pricing. The buildout is capital-intensive: second-quarter 2026 capital expenditure was estimated at $15.8 billion to $18.4 billion. Reliance on Nvidia and possible constraints in chips, power and cooling could delay delivery. The expansion may support demand for AI hardware and data-centre infrastructure, but it has no direct, clearly established price catalyst for major cryptocurrencies. Crypto traders can monitor execution milestones and broader risk sentiment.

SEC Crypto Rules: Bitwise and Hyperliquid Seek Changes

Bitwise Asset Management and the Hyperliquid Policy Center are asking the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to clarify its proposed crypto rules, including token classification, airdrops, buybacks and secondary-market trading. The SEC’s public comment period closes Tuesday. It will then decide whether to revise, adopt or withdraw the proposal, but has not set a timetable for a final decision. Bitwise wants a clear standard for investment managers to determine from public information whether a crypto asset is subject to securities laws. It also seeks guidance on when managers can rely on an issuer’s filing to confirm that an investment contract has ended. The Hyperliquid Policy Center says the proposed safe harbor could come too late for some projects. It wants clearer protections for participation-based airdrops and guidance on token buybacks, unregistered intermediaries and trading through onchain protocols. Former SEC enforcement official John Reed Stark and Duke University scholar Lee Reiners have urged the agency to withdraw the proposal, arguing that it exceeds the SEC’s authority, could weaken investor protections and may face legal challenges. The SEC crypto rules remain a proposal and are not yet in effect. The outcome could shape token issuance and secondary-market access, leaving crypto firms and trading venues awaiting greater clarity.

Fidelity: Preferred Shares Fund 135,979 BTC Purchases

Fidelity Digital Assets says perpetual preferred shares issued by Bitcoin treasury companies helped finance purchases of 135,979 BTC through Oct. 5—more than 0.5% of Bitcoin’s maximum supply. Fidelity, which manages $7.8 trillion in assets, sees Bitcoin’s increasing scarcity as a complement to these dividend-paying shares and a potential new source of BTC demand. More than 95,000 BTC purchases were financed from March to May, raising over $7 billion; Fidelity compared this with 888,185 BTC accumulated by spot Bitcoin ETFs in their first year. The report cites Strategy and Strive. This corporate Bitcoin buying could support demand, but the report does not quantify its immediate price impact. The strategy’s durability depends on BTC appreciation outpacing dividend costs, as well as issuer financial health; investors also face liquidity and interest-rate risks, and preferred shareholders rank below bondholders if an issuer fails.

Crypto Project Shutdowns Reach 82 in 2026

Crypto project shutdowns are accelerating in 2026, with researcher Stacy Muur identifying 82 closures across DeFi, blockchain infrastructure and Web3 gaming. The list includes Balancer, Radiant Capital, Neon EVM and Step Finance. Separately, DeFiLlama counted 100 projects that announced closures this year, including 40 in the previous 90 days; the different totals may reflect separate lists or counting methods. Crypto project shutdowns have been linked to falling revenue, exhausted funding and security breaches. DeFiLlama also cited weak product-market fit, too few users and business pivots. Projects in its tally had raised about $1 billion and generated $250 million in fees, illustrating that funding alone does not ensure sustainability. The closures come amid a difficult market, after Bitcoin fell from above $126,000 in October 2025 to below $60,000 earlier this year. Blast, which once held more than $2 billion in deposits, said it had no credible path to economic viability. Step Finance shut down after a treasury exploit, while Radiant Capital planned to wind down after failing to recover from a 2024 exploit. The wave highlights financial and security risks for crypto ventures, particularly those unable to build sustainable revenue.

Nectar Group Raises $5M for HoneyB Bitcoin Yield Platform

Nectar Group has raised $5 million in seed funding, led by Portal Ventures, to develop HoneyB, an institutional Bitcoin yield platform. The round also included Peer Venture Partners, Anchorage Digital Ventures, a family office and angel investors, valuing Nectar Group at $30 million post-money. HoneyB is pre-launch and plans to let clients borrow stablecoins against native BTC without wrapping or bridging their Bitcoin or giving up custody. The borrowed funds would be deployed in tokenized strategies spanning US Treasuries, fixed income, credit, gold, volatility and options, including strategies from AlphaLedger and Simplify. The platform has cited potential gross annualized returns of about 12%, but net returns would be lower after borrowing costs and are not guaranteed. Its design involves tri-party custody, with Arch Network supporting Bitcoin-native functionality and Chintai providing tokenization and compliance infrastructure. HoneyB has no live product, disclosed TVL or operating track record; the latest announcement also provides no detailed breakdown of how the funding will be spent. For BTC traders, the project signals institutional interest in Bitcoin-backed borrowing and yield, but collateral exposure and strategy performance remain key risks.

Anthropic IPO Figures Raise Valuation and Spending Questions

Anthropic IPO expectations have shifted as investors reassess the AI company’s valuation, reportedly weighing about $1.5 trillion rather than the previously anticipated $2 trillion. Earlier disclosures cited third-quarter revenue of $16.8 billion, up 45%, and more than $8 billion in operating losses for 2025, alongside substantial planned infrastructure spending. A later confidential filing reported first-half 2026 revenue of $16.3 billion, compared with $1.1 billion a year earlier, and a net loss of $80.7 billion, up from $13 billion. Anthropic attributed the larger loss to increased computing and infrastructure costs. The updated figures add to scrutiny of the Anthropic IPO valuation and its path to profitability. There is no direct effect on cryptocurrency fundamentals, but the news may influence broader risk appetite and sentiment toward high-growth technology and AI investments.

LayerZero Sets Nov. 30 Launch for Zero and ATLAS

LayerZero plans to launch its Zero mainnet and ATLAS trading infrastructure on Nov. 30, expanding beyond its cross-chain services. ATLAS will be Zero’s first application, with Open ATLAS expected to connect more than 10 trading venues. The headless exchange will provide matching, clearing and settlement behind partner platforms, rather than operating its own consumer trading app. LayerZero says institutions have tested ATLAS in major-market scenarios, including US equities, while venues integrate the infrastructure and test order execution and settlement. LayerZero says ATLAS will initially be provisioned for up to 200,000 transactions per second, with median latency below one millisecond; neither figure has been independently verified on the mainnet. Under the fee model, venues receive rebates of 20% to 65%, with rates linked to factors such as ZRO staking and trading volume. Of fees remaining after rebates, 75% is intended for buying and burning ZRO, while 25% goes to market creators. The Zero and ATLAS launch could draw attention to ZRO, but the token’s potential demand support will depend on actual trading activity and fee revenue.

Tether Backs Tenstorrent’s $1.5B AI Chip Funding Round

Tether Capital joined Tenstorrent’s $1.5 billion Series E funding round, valuing the AI chipmaker at $6.2 billion. The investment amount and Tether’s ownership stake were not disclosed. Tenstorrent, led by chip architect Jim Keller, develops AI processors, CPUs, server systems and software as alternatives to proprietary hardware and cloud services. Its technology is used by companies including Samsung and LG, with applications in large language models and video generation. Tenstorrent plans to expand production and deployment of its Galaxy servers, advance AI chip and CPU research, and grow its global business. Its systems are designed to let customers run AI models locally or within their own facilities. Tether said the investment supports AI systems that users can build, run and control. The move adds to Tether’s broader AI push, which includes investment in AIsa, a platform for AI-agent payments, and an offline speech-recognition model. The funding expands Tether’s investment exposure beyond digital assets, but the announcement does not indicate a direct change to its stablecoin operations, reserves or USDT issuance. It is not, by itself, a clear trading catalyst for USDT.

Blockworks Seeks Onchain Disclosures in SEC Crypto Rules

Blockworks has urged the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to strengthen its proposed Regulation Crypto Assets with more detailed token disclosures and a new category of “Qualified Onchain Disclosure Agent.” In a comment letter submitted around the October 20 deadline, the firm proposed that approved third parties help prepare and publish searchable, versioned filings. It also wants the SEC to allow third parties to compile disclosures for tokens without current filings and preserve records for projects that stop reporting. Blockworks’ proposed onchain disclosures include token loans, liquidity arrangements, market-maker and exchange agreements, and tokens or other payments given to advisers, influencers and promoters. It also seeks disclosure of key wallet and smart-contract addresses, plus clearer explanations of token-supply calculations. The recommendations draw on its open-source Token Transparency Framework, which covers allocations, governance and risk assessments. The SEC’s August proposal sets broad disclosure topics but does not specify these detailed requirements. It includes a startup exemption allowing up to $5 million in fundraising over four years and a separate exemption allowing up to $75 million over 12 months. The SEC has not decided whether to adopt Blockworks’ recommendations. If adopted, the proposed onchain disclosures could improve transparency and ease compliance for smaller projects, while potentially giving projects already using the framework a head start. For traders, the rules could affect perceptions of token supply, liquidity and project risk, but do not directly signal a price move for any specific cryptocurrency.
