CoinShares is partnering with Safe Labs and Railnet to offer professionally managed stablecoin yield strategies through Safe{Wallet}’s Earn widget. CoinShares Capital Markets (Jersey) will design the strategies and set their risk profiles; Safe provides the wallet interface, while Railnet supplies on-chain vault infrastructure developed by Kiln. The strategies combine DeFi yields with returns from tokenized real-world assets.
Users keep custody of their assets in Safe accounts and can request withdrawals. CoinShares says it will not hold or exercise discretionary control over user funds. The product is aimed at businesses, treasuries, foundations and individual investors; the Ethereum Foundation and Circle are among the enterprise clients able to access it. Safe reports about $60 billion in self-custodied assets across 63 million accounts, including roughly $7.5 billion in stablecoins. The offering is fee-free for its first six months, excludes US persons and is subject to jurisdiction and eligibility restrictions. Stablecoin yield is not guaranteed and carries smart-contract, protocol and underlying-asset risks. The partnership may test institutional demand for stablecoin yield products, particularly after the introductory fee period; cited market-wide stablecoin balances above $315 billion do not imply expected demand or returns for this offering.
Optimism (OP) rallied after Uniswap announced that Unichain plans to move its production operations to Optimism’s OP Enterprise service. In an earlier market snapshot, OP had risen as much as 19.4% in 24 hours, trading near $0.156 and gaining 28% over seven days. The later snapshot showed OP at about $0.1511, up 9.17% in 24 hours and 25.47% over the week, after briefly reaching $0.1625. Trading volume was reported at roughly $226 million in the earlier update and $232.25 million in the later one; the latter put OP’s market capitalisation near $348.33 million.
Uniswap’s plan schedules the Unichain testnet migration for October 13 and the mainnet transition for October 29. Optimism is expected to run sequencers, RPC services, network monitoring and incident response. Uniswap says the handover will preserve Unichain’s chain ID, contracts, balances and existing app deployments. The move is intended to lay groundwork for native interoperability across OP Stack networks, but cross-chain transfers are not expected to become available immediately.
The price move gives OP a project-specific catalyst, although the migration is still a planned milestone and its direct contribution to buying cannot be established. OP encountered resistance around $0.16; the later report cited the 200-day EMA near $0.1422 as a support reference and an RSI reading of 60.40. Broader market weakness, including Bitcoin’s fall to $80,850 and more than $800 million in daily liquidations cited in the earlier update, remains a risk to OP’s gains.
BIT Securities launched Hong Kong stock trading on 12 October, expanding its platform beyond US equities and digital assets to include listed options and Hong Kong shares. The service covers Hong Kong Stock Exchange Main Board and GEM stocks, IPO subscriptions, margin financing and stock transfers. Users can deposit and withdraw USDT or USDC, which BIT says can settle in seconds and are available 24/7, without requiring a bank account or conversion into Hong Kong dollars.
BIT Securities says its licensed-broker model gives customers ownership of actual shares, including dividend and voting rights, rather than tokenised stocks or stock-linked perpetual contracts. The service is operated by BIT subsidiary Matrix Gelephu Pte. Ltd. under a licence in Bhutan’s Gelephu Mindfulness City, with Hong Kong-licensed broker Atomic Vaults Asia handling execution and custody. It is unavailable to Hong Kong residents and users in other restricted jurisdictions. Promotional offers, including commission-free trading and IPO financing benefits, are available to eligible users through 11 November 2026. The launch broadens BIT Securities’ cross-market offering, but there is no evidence of an immediate effect on crypto prices.

Houthi attacks involving missiles and drones targeted an administrative building at Saudi Aramco’s headquarters complex in Dhahran. Saudi authorities reported a limited fire and no casualties at the site. Air defenses also intercepted attacks aimed at Riyadh, where falling debris injured four people. Saudi Aramco said its oil production and exports were unaffected, easing concerns about an immediate supply disruption. Prediction-market odds for a Saudi airspace closure were 6.5% by November 1, 2026, and 16.5% by January 1, 2027, compared with earlier readings of 5.5% and 21.5%. The Houthi attacks add to geopolitical risk and may prompt volatility in oil and broader risk markets, but no direct impact on cryptocurrency prices has been reported. Traders will be watching for further escalation and official updates.
An iPhone cold wallet is not automatically secure just because it is offline. OneKey maintainer Yishi recommends an iPhone 17 or newer running iOS 27 or later, prompt security updates and device replacement every one to two years. These are personal guidelines, not an Apple certification or guarantee.
The later guidance adds detail on physical-access risks: forensic tools, USB attack surfaces and a phone’s security state after its first unlock can affect what data remains accessible, even when the screen is locked. A long, genuinely random passcode and an independent recovery plan can reduce exposure.
An iPhone cold wallet also depends on how the wallet protects recovery phrases and private keys, handles backups, and authorizes transactions. Avoid storing recovery phrases in ordinary Notes or Photos. If a phrase may have been exposed, create a new wallet in a trusted environment, verify recovery and test a small transaction before moving funds. For traders, this is a custody and operational-security warning, not a direct market catalyst; no offline phone is risk-free.
The Smarter Web Company’s Bitcoin-backed preferred shares, trading as MORE, began trading on the London Stock Exchange’s Main Market on October 14, 2026. Issued at £90 per share, they carry an initial stated annual dividend rate of 12%, paid weekly. Based on the issue price, that equates to a running yield of about 13.33%; the rate is not a guaranteed return. The perpetual shares have no maturity date, and the first payment of £0.2301 per share is due by November 9.
The offering raised at least £10 million, leaving about £8.35 million after costs, with roughly £4 million earmarked for Bitcoin purchases. The company held about 2,747 BTC as of September 30, at a net average acquisition cost of £82,562 per Bitcoin. The MORE listing gives the Bitcoin-focused company a new funding route and offers investors an income-oriented way to gain exposure to a Bitcoin treasury. Traders will watch the sustainability of weekly dividends, the share price against its £90 issue price and £100 liquidation preference, and whether planned Bitcoin purchases affect the company’s holdings. The listing itself does not establish a direct price catalyst for Bitcoin.

Bitcoin mining profitability remains under pressure with Bitcoin near $83,750. At a hashprice of $39.05 per PH/s per day, a 270 TH/s Antminer S21 XP generates about $10.54 in daily gross revenue. After a 2% pool fee, its estimated break-even electricity rate is roughly 11.8 cents per kWh. At 5, 6 and 9 cents per kWh, estimated daily net profit is about $5.96, $5.08 and $2.46; at 12 cents, the machine loses money. A projected 4.82% increase in mining difficulty could further reduce revenue if BTC prices and transaction fees hold steady. The earlier estimates put the machine’s shutdown price at about $41,400 with 6-cent power, $62,100 at 9 cents and $82,900 at 12 cents—close to Bitcoin’s price at the time. Hashprice fell to a record low of $27.70 per PH/s per day in June. CoinShares estimates listed miners’ weighted average cash cost at about $75,500 per BTC, while reported all-in costs at Riot, CleanSpark and MARA were higher; the latest figures also cite IREN and attribute the gap to costs such as depreciation, hosting and infrastructure. Persistent pressure could lead miners to switch off less efficient equipment or redirect power to AI and data centres. Traders can monitor hashprice, network hashrate, difficulty adjustments and miners’ AI contracts, but mining costs alone do not determine BTC’s price direction.

Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan says a strong third-quarter rally may signal a “crypto spring.” The Bitwise 10 Large Cap Crypto Index gained 46.39%, with all 10 assets posting double-digit quarterly gains: BTC rose 42.3%, ETH 69.1%, SOL 59.2% and LINK 97.6%. US spot Bitcoin ETFs drew about $6 billion in net inflows in Q3, returning year-to-date flows to positive territory. On-chain activity also grew: tokenized equities rose 65.5% to nearly $3.2 billion, while decentralized perpetual futures open interest reached a record near $26 billion.
The recovery remains uneven. The index was still down about 6.2% year to date at September’s end, and mining stocks Riot Platforms and Hut 8 fell more than 25%. ETF flows also became volatile in October, while high futures open interest could amplify moves if macro conditions deteriorate. Bitwise sees regulatory developments, including a possible SEC innovation exemption, as potential support for tokenized assets and US participation in perpetual futures. The crypto spring outlook points to improving conditions, but a sustained bull market will depend on continued ETF inflows and Bitcoin breaking above recent highs.
A7 International has launched a cross-border payment service that lets businesses and individuals pay invoices in USDT while recipients receive bank transfers through SWIFT. The service initially accepts USDT on the TRON network and supports US dollars, euros, Chinese yuan and UAE dirhams; other currencies may be arranged separately. A7 charges a 0.3% fee, says payments take at least one business day and displays the total cost before payment. Customers must complete identity or company verification and provide invoices and supporting documents. A7 says its AI system assesses transaction risks and recommends payment routes. Founded in 2024 with the involvement of PSB Bank, A7 says it serves about 15,000 clients and processed more than 10 trillion roubles in 2025. The service is available remotely only in jurisdictions where digital-asset use is permitted. The launch adds a USDT-based route for cross-border invoice payments, but does not by itself indicate a change in USDT’s market price.

Sberbank has joined the Bank of Russia’s crypto exchange register, expanding the country’s regulated digital asset market to 10 firms. The bank was first listed as a digital depository on Oct. 6 and added to the exchange register on Oct. 12, making it one of only two firms—alongside VTB—on both registers. The approvals allow Sberbank to arrange crypto trading, record digital asset ownership and buy or sell digital currencies for its own account outside organized trading.\n\nSberbank plans to offer trading and custody for BTC, ETH and USDT through its existing apps. It has targeted Dec. 1 for completing the necessary infrastructure, but no specific product launch date or trading volumes have been reported. Under Russia’s rules, non-qualified retail investors may buy bitcoin, ether and USDT up to 300,000 rubles per year through each intermediary; qualified investors face no such cap. Registered firms must follow central bank transaction rules immediately and meet the full requirements of the digital currency law by Sept. 1, 2027.\n\nThe Sberbank crypto registration is a step towards regulated access in Russia, but its direct effect on crypto prices may be limited until services go live and generate measurable demand.

A handful of sharp rallies do not confirm an altcoin season. A commonly used benchmark requires at least 75% of the top 50 eligible cryptocurrencies to outperform Bitcoin over 90 days. The comparison is against BTC, so a token can rise in dollar terms and still underperform.
Zcash (ZEC) reportedly climbed from about $50 to $1,300 in a year, while Starknet (STRK) rose fivefold from its August low but remained down 23% year over year. Traders who missed ZEC’s rally have also looked to perceived alternatives such as NEAR and STRK, a FOMO-driven strategy that can lead to losses.
The later account adds that buyers are returning to some older projects because their tokens are fully or nearly unlocked and their networks were built around specific technical goals. Starknet has drawn attention for a proposed quantum-resistant Layer 1, with co-founder Eli Ben-Sasson targeting development for next year. Comments from Justin Drake have also revived concerns about quantum computing and crypto cryptography, though this remains a market narrative rather than a settled forecast.
For traders, the altcoin season question remains open. Track token performance against BTC, unlock schedules and verifiable technical milestones rather than treating isolated rallies or quantum-resistance claims as proof of broad altcoin outperformance.
An OpenAI product-team engineer was arrested on 9 October and charged with attempting to intercept private conversations after a recording device was found behind a television in an executive meeting room at the company’s San Francisco office. The 35-year-old, Abdulrahman Alfozan, joined OpenAI in July 2025 and has been dismissed; he has not been convicted. The device was reportedly set to record continuously and allow remote access. Investigators linked Alfozan to it using chatbot activity, surveillance footage and a second device found in his backpack. OpenAI referred the case to the FBI and said it found no evidence that model weights, source code or customer data were accessed or taken. The investigation is ongoing. The OpenAI case raises security and reputational concerns for the AI sector, but has no reported direct link to crypto markets.
POAP founder @worthalter has increased his ETH transfers to Gemini. An earlier report said he moved 8,000 ETH, worth about $20.81 million, over six days and held 51,468 ETH. A later update put the total transferred at 18,000 ETH, worth about $45.86 million, over nine days from October 5. He reportedly also sold 10,000 ETH, valued at about $25.05 million, and his wallet held 41,500 ETH, worth roughly $104 million, at the time of the report. These ETH transfers and reported sales may add short-term selling pressure, but deposits to an exchange do not confirm that all transferred ETH has been sold. Traders may watch for further deposits and ETH price movements.
StoneX raised its price target for Securitize (NASDAQ: SECZ) by 50%, from $12 to $18, and maintained a Buy rating. The new target was about 45% above the share price cited in the report. Analyst Mark Palmer said Securitize could evolve from a tokenization service provider into a market operator, generating recurring revenue from trading and account services.
Securitize Stocks has launched on Solana, offering tokenized shares of companies including Apple, Nvidia and Tesla, with trades settled in USDC. StoneX forecasts revenue of nearly $120 million in 2027 and $198.5 million in 2028, about 65% annual growth. Its target values Securitize at 14.5 times projected 2028 revenue; collateral services could provide an additional revenue stream.
The outlook is uncertain. Securitize reported $5.3 billion in second-quarter trading volume, but much of its historical revenue came from integration fees rather than trading. The business must convert activity into recurring income and navigate regulatory requirements. Despite StoneX’s upgrade, SECZ shares fell—more than 6% intraday in one report and about 10% on Monday in another—highlighting investor caution. The IMF has also warned tokenized stocks could be more volatile and less liquid than traditional shares. For crypto traders, the Solana launch is a sign of expanding tokenized-asset activity, but the reports do not establish a direct price catalyst for SOL.
The SEC quorum rule took effect on 2 October, the day Hester Peirce left the agency, leaving Chair Paul Atkins and Mark Uyeda as its only commissioners. In certain circumstances, the change allows one commissioner to establish a quorum when only two commissioners are serving and the other is disqualified, potentially enabling measures to advance with fewer members involved. The SEC says the rule clarifies how it can operate when commissioners are unavailable or must recuse themselves; critics warn it could concentrate authority.
The SEC quorum rule comes as US agencies pursue digital-asset oversight without comprehensive legislation. The SEC has proposed a token safe-harbour framework, and Atkins has signalled more crypto proposals may follow. The CFTC, which has only one Senate-confirmed commissioner, Chair Michael Selig, has also outlined plans to address crypto exchanges under its existing authority. No nominees to fill agency vacancies had been announced in the summaries.
For crypto traders, agency-led rulemaking could bring changes to market oversight sooner, including measures that may be favourable to the industry. But decisions made by a small number of officials may also increase regulatory uncertainty. The CLARITY Act, a proposed crypto market-structure bill, is unlikely to advance before the next congressional session, potentially extending this period of agency-led rulemaking.
US government Bitcoin holdings are estimated at 328,372 BTC in early October 2026, although trackers put the total between about 319,000 and 328,000 BTC because they differ on which wallets belong to federal agencies. The estimated amount is down about 1,635 BTC this year.
In the first week of October, government-linked wallets transferred about 17,733 BTC, mainly to Coinbase Prime. No sale has been confirmed; the transfers may reflect custody changes. Executive Order 14233, which established the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve in March 2025, bars the sale of seized assets and halted routine sales of forfeited coins.
The government’s Bitcoin holdings, sourced from seizures and forfeitures including assets linked to the Bitfinex hack and Silk Road, were estimated to be worth $26 billion–$28 billion at BTC prices of $82,000–$83,000. That is about $16 billion below their late-2025 peak, largely because Bitcoin’s price fell rather than because the government sold its coins. White House crypto adviser David Sacks has also said Bitcoin previously sold for about $366 million would be worth roughly $17 billion at current prices. For traders, the transfers warrant monitoring but do not confirm imminent selling or create a clear new source of market supply.

Singapore Gulf Bank (SGB) has adopted BNY’s 24/7 dollar settlement service, allowing eligible corporate and retail customers to send qualifying US dollar payments outside traditional banking hours, including weekends and US public holidays. Transfers can be made between eligible accounts held at BNY or at correspondent banks connected to its network. SGB says it is among the first financial institutions globally to use the service.
The dollar settlement service supports account funding, supplier payments and time-sensitive cross-border cash management. Separately, SGB’s SGB Net connection with Payward lets selected institutional clients in supported Asian and Gulf markets settle dollars instantly and access funds for trading. SGB says its platform handles more than $20 billion in monthly fiat transactions.
The expanded dollar settlement access may make fiat funding and cash management more convenient for digital-asset firms and traders. However, eligibility and network requirements apply, and the service is not a permissionless blockchain network or a new cryptocurrency product. It does not by itself establish broader crypto-market access or imply a direct price catalyst for any token.
More than 70% of tokenized stock trading on BNB Chain occurs outside regular US market hours, compared with 63% on Solana and nearly 60% on Base, according to Blockworks data cited by The Kobeissi Letter. The figures suggest demand for round-the-clock access to tokenized stocks. Their total value rose 15% in 30 days to nearly $3.3 billion, while Solana-based Jupiter reported a 50% month-over-month increase in tokenized asset volume. The SEC’s innovation exemption could let qualifying venues offer tokenized US equities domestically, subject to shareholder-rights, trading and disclosure requirements, including reporting prices, trade sizes, timestamps, volume and liquidity-pool details. These developments indicate growing activity in tokenized stocks, but do not establish a clear price direction for SOL or BNB; availability and regulatory status also vary by issuer and market.
Wells Fargo has moved from preparing tokenized deposits to launching them for corporate and commercial customers in September. The service supports transfers within the bank’s system; earlier plans described a possible 24/7 cross-border US dollar–British pound payment corridor on its proprietary blockchain. The deposits remain bank liabilities and are distinct from stablecoins, while the bank has also been involved in a proposed bank deposit-token network targeted for 2027.
Separately, Wells Fargo and 20 other financial institutions are planning a stablecoin venture. The group targets a US dollar stablecoin launch in the first half of 2027, with a company expected to be established in the second half of 2026, subject to closing conditions. Intended uses include wholesale and retail payments, cross-border transfers and digital-asset settlement; a euro token could follow. Participants include Bank of America, Citi, Goldman Sachs and Fidelity Investments, and the venture says it intends to comply with relevant US and European rules.
CEO Charlie Scharf has said US stablecoin use cases and customer demand remain unclear, even as the bank prepares for potential growth. For crypto traders, the plans point to rising traditional-bank interest in stablecoins and tokenized deposits, but the initiatives remain prospective and do not identify a specific crypto token likely to benefit directly.
BTC first rose above 83,000 USDT to 83,003.6 USDT, while its 24-hour loss narrowed to 0.79%, according to OKX data. In a later update, BTC slipped below that level to 82,985 USDT, but its 24-hour performance shifted to a 0.59% gain. The changing readings point to short-term price volatility; they do not establish a broader BTC market trend.
Navitas Semiconductor and Nvidia have developed a 24kW power-delivery board for AI data centres. The Navitas 24kW AI power system converts 800V DC to 12V in a single stage, targets 97% full-load efficiency and uses 16 gallium nitride transistors. It fits Nvidia’s 400mm-by-60mm form factor and is designed to power a full compute tray. The companies plan to showcase it in Nvidia’s AI Factory MGX ecosystem at the October 2026 OCP Global Summit. This is a newer 12V design than the 20kW board Navitas previously introduced. Separately, an earlier collaboration targeted an 800V-to-6V board, with peak efficiency targets of 96.5%–97.5% and power density up to 2,100W/in³; Navitas also displayed that design at COMPUTEX in June 2026. The 800V architecture could reduce conversion losses, equipment footprint and copper use, but grid access and equipment availability remain broader data-centre constraints. The developments may matter to investors tracking AI infrastructure and semiconductor demand, but they have no direct, identifiable effect on cryptocurrency prices.

21Shares has launched the Anthropic synthetic ETP, ticker CLAU, on the Vienna Stock Exchange’s Vienna MTF. The unleveraged product gives investors exposure to the private AI company’s estimated pre-IPO valuation, but it does not provide ownership or voting rights in Anthropic, either before or after a potential IPO.
The Anthropic ETP uses a total return swap tracking a Kaiko reference rate derived from Anthropic perpetual futures prices on Binance. It gives traditional-market investors a way to follow private technology company valuations, but its synthetic, derivative-based structure is not equivalent to holding company shares. The launch is a niche development for crypto traders, with no clear direct effect on major crypto prices; attention may turn to the reference rate’s liquidity, Anthropic disclosures and any IPO or regulatory developments.
NEAR has retreated from a recent high near $6, falling from about $5.24 on Oct. 11 to around $4.97 on Oct. 13. The pullback follows a recovery from roughly $4.30 on Oct. 8. NEAR is now below its 20-day simple moving average near $5.03, while weakening daily MACD momentum points to short-term pressure. Traders are watching the $4.89–$5.03 area and key support at $4.50; earlier analysis also identified support near $4.45 and resistance at $5.30–$5.65. A break below $4.50 could expose $3.98, while a sustained recovery and confirmed weekly breakout above $6 could put resistance near $8.81 and $10.93 in focus, with a longer-term projection of $16. Weekly indicators remain positive, creating a mixed picture against weaker daily momentum. These are conditional technical levels, not guaranteed forecasts.

MNX, a crypto exchange built on MegaETH by Manifold Markets, has launched futures tied to the valuations of OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepSeek and Moonshot. The move adds to a market where OKX and Bitget already offer similar pre-IPO products.
MNX contracts expire at the end of 2027 and do not charge recurring funding fees. Traders can use up to three times their available funds, magnifying potential gains and losses. Prices are determined by trading on MNX. If a company remains private at expiry, settlement will use public valuation data where available, with MNX able to set a price as a last resort. The settlement price may differ from the price paid in private share transactions.
MNX raised $6.4 million in a round led by Village Global, does not currently serve US customers and plans to add markets linked to the wider AI economy. The contracts offer crypto traders a way to speculate on private AI valuations, but uncertain settlement and potentially limited liquidity pose risks. The launch does not provide direct ownership of the companies or signal a clear direction for the broader crypto market.
Nvidia is expected to announce $2 billion in new European AI investments this week, according to a post on X. The planned funding would build on about $8 billion the company invested in European technology and AI ventures in 2025, across 14 startup funding rounds—double the number in 2024. Past deals included Mistral AI’s €1.7 billion Series C and a £500 million commitment to UK data-centre firm Nscale; Nvidia also took an undisclosed stake in Revolut, valued at $75 billion.
The investment push accompanies major Blackwell hardware deployments. Plans include 18,000 Grace Blackwell systems for Mistral AI in France, 14,000 Blackwell GPUs in the UK with Nebius and Nscale, and 10,000 GPUs for an industrial AI cloud in Germany. Together, the projects are intended to provide more than 3,000 exaflops of computing capacity. Nvidia has highlighted industrial AI, robotics and factory automation, while warning that Europe needs more energy infrastructure to support growth.
The Nvidia European AI investment strategy also aligns with the EU’s plans to support up to seven AI Gigafactories with €10 billion in public funding. Nvidia, AMD and Qualcomm have signed hardware supply letters of intent. Investors will watch for details of the new funding recipients and resulting GPU orders. The expansion may influence broader technology-sector sentiment, but neither summary identifies a direct cryptocurrency investment or immediate crypto-market catalyst.
A UK crypto trader says three masked, knife-wielding intruders restrained him and forced him to hand over about $760,000 in digital assets. He said roughly $40,000 was taken from his main wallets and $720,000 from a Ledger hardware wallet. A Rolex watch was also reportedly stolen. The trader said he suffered bruising but no serious injuries, and police are investigating. He posted a Solana address, but authorities have not independently confirmed the incident or the reported losses.
The alleged robbery highlights the risk of crypto wrench attacks, in which criminals use violence or threats to force holders to transfer assets. Chainalysis recorded 46 such attacks worldwide in the first half of 2026, with more than $30 million in confirmed losses; home invasions accounted for 37% of incidents, up from 14% a year earlier. CertiK counted 52 cases and estimated $124.1 million in financial exposure, including associated amounts, with 33 of the cases occurring in France. The figures use different methodologies and should not be treated as directly comparable.
The reported attack has no clear direct effect on cryptocurrency prices. However, rising wrench attacks may heighten concerns about personal security and self-custody. Keeping holdings private and limiting public disclosures may reduce exposure, but cannot eliminate the risk of physical coercion.
Cardano’s ADA faces near-term downside risk after falling 15.7% in seven days to about $0.234, below the $0.24 support level. Analyst Ali Martinez said large holders sold more than 110 million ADA in five days, while daily active addresses fell 41.36%, from 27,248 to 15,977. If selling pressure persists, traders are watching about $0.21 as a possible downside target. Trading volume rose 40.6% day over day to roughly $533 million.
Network indicators are mixed. Cardano recorded 1,780,896 transactions in Epoch 660, a five-year high, and 83.83 transactions per block, an all-time record. Analyst Crypto Patel said a two-week close above $0.2887 could confirm a breakout, with higher targets starting at $0.50.
Cardano also announced ecosystem developments: the Foundation introduced CIP-0113, a token standard that lets regulated-asset issuers set holding rules and freeze or seize tokens. Veridian, its identity project, became an independent Swiss company and tokenized its shares on Cardano. Separately, Cardano Card plans to end its current service on October 31, 2026, after payment partner Wirex moves away from its custodial infrastructure; no replacement provider has been announced. For ADA traders, whale selling and fewer active addresses weigh on the short-term outlook, while record transaction activity and ecosystem updates provide counterpoints.
BlackRock has ended a nearly six-year underweight stance on U.S. government debt, upgrading short-term Treasuries to overweight and long-term Treasuries to neutral. It also cut U.S. stocks from overweight to neutral and lowered its rating on agency mortgage-backed securities. BlackRock says Treasury yields are attractive: the 10-year yield has reached about 5.25%, near highs not seen in more than two decades. It also sees markets as potentially overestimating the chance of further Federal Reserve rate hikes, although swaps have priced in at least 75 basis points of increases over the next year.
The equity downgrade reflects near-term volatility risks, including the cost of financing AI infrastructure and uncertainty over whether companies can turn AI spending into profits. Recent declines in semiconductor shares, including Nvidia, have added to valuation concerns. BlackRock remains positive on AI over the longer term; its shift is framed as risk management, not a rejection of the investment trend. An upcoming U.S. inflation report could move rate expectations and Treasury yields. For crypto traders, the change is an indirect macro signal: higher yields and a more cautious stance on risk assets could weigh on sentiment, but the reports provide no direct crypto-specific catalyst.
Trader Killa says Bitcoin needs to hold above $75,500 and form a higher low to preserve a market structure resembling its 2023 rally. Holding near $80,000 would strengthen that setup. Bitcoin recently reclaimed short-term structure around $82,000, but subsequent retests and breaks have produced repeated breakout and breakdown signals amid liquidity-driven trading. Killa estimates the move from $84,100 to $81,000 liquidated about $300 million in long positions, compared with more than $2 billion during an earlier drop from $86,800 to $80,600, suggesting less long-heavy leverage. Bitcoin needs to establish a higher low and resume rising; otherwise, the pullback could extend below $80,000. Traders are watching $75,500 as a key support level and $82,000 for near-term direction.
