CFTC to Examine 24/7 Derivatives Trading

The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) will hold a public roundtable in Washington, D.C., on Dec. 15 to examine the operational and risk-management challenges of 24/7 derivatives trading. The session will be livestreamed and follows the agency’s summer request for public comment on extending trading hours for standard futures and introducing perpetual contracts. Topics will include overnight trading, tokenized assets, and the infrastructure, staffing and operational readiness needed to keep markets running continuously. The discussion will focus mainly on traditional derivatives, while tokenization links the debate to digital assets. CFTC Chairman Selig has said the agency will seek industry input rather than take a one-size-fits-all approach. The CFTC 24/7 derivatives trading roundtable is for consultation and will not itself introduce new rules; its findings could inform future policy.

Fed Holds Rates, but Further Tightening Could Pressure Crypto

The Federal Reserve kept its benchmark interest rate at 3.75%-4%, as markets expected, after a 25-basis-point increase in September. Persistent inflation, including fuel-related price pressure and sticky services inflation, is keeping the outlook uncertain. The Fed’s language has shifted towards holding rates steady while officials assess incoming data, but both articles point to the possibility of one more 25-basis-point hike in December. One article also cites futures pricing for as many as three further increases by the end of 2027, while the later article’s author expects rates could settle near 4% and remain there for years. For crypto traders, the Fed’s rate path remains important: higher rates can constrain liquidity and risk appetite, while the US dollar and inflation data may shape market direction. Since the hold was widely anticipated, upcoming CPI, PPI and PCE reports and signals on future policy are likely to matter more than the decision itself.

SK hynix AI Memory Growth Outlook Strengthens on Q3 Results

SK hynix’s third-quarter results beat expectations, with revenue rising 32% quarter on quarter and 328% year on year. Strong demand and tight supply lifted DRAM and NAND prices; the later analysis reports average selling prices up more than 20% quarter on quarter and gross margin at 86%. EBITDA margin reached a record 84%, while operating income exceeded estimates. The outlook remains strong as AI demand supports memory pricing and planned capacity expansion. Long-term agreements reportedly cover about half of planned 2027–2028 capacity, with some HBM and DRAM output potentially committed through 2029. Management expects DRAM demand to grow at a mid-20% rate and NAND at a high-teens rate through 2027. SK hynix is increasing capital spending to expand DRAM and NAND production, while competition from China’s CXMT and labour pressures remain risks. The analyses cite strong cash flow and long-term contracts as potential buffers against memory-market cyclicality, and present positive valuation views, including a reported 73% forward P/E discount to the broader IT sector. For crypto traders, this is not a direct token catalyst: it may inform sentiment around AI infrastructure and semiconductor-linked risk appetite, but no cryptocurrency price impact is established. US GDP and PCE Data Could Shape Fed Rates and Crypto

US third-quarter GDP and September PCE inflation data are due on October 29 at 8:30 a.m. ET, a day after the Federal Reserve held its policy rate at 3.75%-4.00% in a 10-2 vote. Both dissenters favoured a rate increase. Markets expect annualised GDP growth of about 3.2%, with core PCE inflation up 0.3% month on month and 3.1% year on year; headline PCE inflation was 3.4% year on year in August. Traders will assess GDP and PCE figures, including consumer spending, business investment, inventories and trade, for clues about the Fed’s December rate decision. Strong growth alongside hotter inflation could lift Treasury yields and support a more restrictive policy outlook, while weaker growth and easing inflation could lower rate expectations but raise concerns about economic momentum. For crypto markets, the releases are macro catalysts rather than direct digital-asset news: moves in yields, the US dollar and broader risk appetite may drive short-term volatility.

Pump.fun Adds Hyperliquid Perpetuals Across 300+ Markets

Pump.fun has expanded its Hyperliquid integration, adding in-app perpetual futures across more than 300 crypto, stock and commodity markets. The service uses Hyperliquid’s HyperCore infrastructure, order book and liquidity, and provides funding-rate and open-interest data. Users can trade with USDC or SOL held in the app without bridging assets. Pump.fun lists maximum leverage of 40x for BTC, 25x for ETH, 20x for some stocks and 50x for the S&P 500; isolated margin and take-profit and stop-loss orders are also available. The move follows Pump.fun’s August 2026 HyperEVM integration for low-fee USDC spot trading. Pump.fun has also added Arbitrum support, allowing users to trade tokens on that network with USDC. The expansion puts it in competition with platforms such as FOMO, which introduced Hyperliquid-based perpetuals in June. Traders can monitor market activity and open interest, but high leverage raises liquidation risk, while greater reliance on shared Hyperliquid infrastructure may create concentration risks.

OFAC Sanctions North Korean Crypto Laundering Network

US sanctions announced by the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) target 10 people and one entity accused of supporting North Korean IT worker fraud and crypto laundering. The scheme allegedly used false identities to place North Korean workers at legitimate companies, then moved their earnings through cryptocurrency and financial intermediaries to support weapons programmes. The designations include Russian nationals Ilya Boykov, who allegedly exchanged about $3.5 million in crypto for the North Korea-linked Alis company since 2024, and Vitold Obertas, who allegedly converted nearly $2 million for North Korean officials since early 2025. OFAC also named North Korean nationals Kim Ki Hyok and Kim Hyo Dong, who reportedly managed worker teams in Russia, Russia-based FFTDC, and six North Korean IT workers. The six workers reportedly generated more than $750,000 for FFTDC since 2025. The later reporting adds that Chainalysis traced flows involving worker earnings, Russian intermediaries and sanctioned exchange Garantex. It also says North Korean operatives have used generative AI to tailor job applications and hide their identities. The UN estimates the IT worker schemes generate $250 million to $600 million a year. Australia and the EU have also announced related measures. The OFAC sanctions increase screening and compliance risks for crypto firms, but target specific facilitators and do not indicate a broad change in crypto market conditions.

OpenAI Reportedly Plans Google TPU Purchase to Diversify AI Chips

OpenAI is reportedly considering buying Google TPU chips, according to a person familiar with the matter. Neither company has confirmed a purchase, and the price, volume and delivery schedule are unknown. OpenAI began renting Google TPUs in June 2025 for early testing, and a job listing seeking an engineer to optimise models for TPUs suggests it may expand their use. Buying Google TPU hardware would give OpenAI a different route to computing capacity beyond cloud rentals. The possibility adds to OpenAI’s efforts to diversify its AI infrastructure. Nvidia has invested $30 billion in OpenAI after an earlier proposal of up to $100 billion, while AMD has granted OpenAI the right to buy up to 160 million shares in connection with a planned 6 gigawatts of chip deployment. OpenAI is also developing the Jalapeño inference chip with Broadcom, with deployment planned by the end of 2026. Google TPUs are also being offered through cloud providers, including Oracle, as major technology firms prepare for substantial data-centre spending. For traders, the report underscores competition among AI chip suppliers and rising demand for computing capacity, but the deal remains unconfirmed. It has no clear direct impact on cryptocurrency prices or trading activity; any broader effects would depend on how AI infrastructure spending influences technology-sector sentiment and costs over time.

Spout Raises $2M for Solana Stock-Backed Lending

Solana-based lending project Spout has raised $2 million in strategic funding to develop its platform and expand its team ahead of a planned mainnet launch. Spout is currently testing on Solana Devnet, with a private beta planned before mainnet; no launch date or lending capacity has been announced. The platform would let users borrow USDC against tokenized U.S. stocks at up to a 50% loan-to-value ratio, without charging borrowers interest. Spout plans to generate returns for lenders by selling weekly covered call options on the collateral. These premiums depend on market conditions, and the project has not promised a fixed yield or disclosed full liquidation rules and potential fees. Investors include Draper Dragon, Anchorage Digital, Flow Traders and Solana Labs. Former CFTC chairman J. Christopher Giancarlo, a Spout regulatory and policy adviser, also invested. Spout aims to bring prime-brokerage-style borrowing to individual users, but its mainnet rollout and ability to sustain lender returns remain key milestones for traders to watch.

Bitcoin Price Stalls at 50-Day Average Ahead of Fed Decision

Bitcoin price gains faded on Wednesday after BTC failed to break above its 50-day simple moving average near $81,831. Bitcoin briefly reached about $81,687 before retreating to $80,297, down roughly 0.3% at the time of the reports. A sustained drop below $80,565 could make another test of the 50-day average less likely. Traders were awaiting the Federal Reserve’s rate decision and Chair Kevin Warsh’s comments. CME FedWatch put the probability of rates staying at 3.75%-4% at 90.6%. US technology earnings and the Nov. 3 midterm elections were also potential market catalysts, while Fed commentary could influence expectations for a December rate move. Glassnode data showed buy orders near $80,000 had thinned to about $3.4 million, compared with roughly $42 million in bids between $78,000 and $79,000. That lower range may provide support if Bitcoin price weakens further. For traders, the failed breakout leaves BTC vulnerable to Fed-driven volatility, with the $80,565 level and the $78,000-$79,000 bid zone in focus.

Bitcoin Optech #427–428: Lightning Security and Layer-2 Updates

Bitcoin Optech #427 and #428 cover technical developments across Bitcoin and the Lightning Network, with no major market event or immediate price catalyst. The earlier edition discussed two denial-of-service vulnerabilities fixed in Eclair v0.14.1, off-chain contracts in Lightning channels, Bitcoin Core 32.0rc4, and code and documentation updates to Eclair, LDK, LND, Rust Bitcoin and BDK. Bitcoin Optech #428 adds discussion of trust-minimized exits from a single-issuer layer 2 and descriptor syntax for hash preimages. It also highlights Ibis Wallet v5.0-beta, Landfall for Lightning mining payouts and rbitcoin 0.8.0, alongside Eclair 0.14.4, BDK chain 0.23.4 and LND v0.21.5-beta.rc1. Further code and documentation changes span Eclair, LDK, LND, BTCPay Server, BDK and BOLTs. Taken together, the Bitcoin Optech updates point to ongoing work on Bitcoin infrastructure, wallet software and Lightning security, rather than a new feature launch or policy shift.

Bitcoin Rebounds Near $82K as Tech Stocks Rally

Bitcoin rose to $81,687 on Wednesday as buy orders strengthened near $79,000 and $80,000. The rebound followed a recovery in technology stocks: South Korea’s KOSPI gained 6.63% on Wednesday and 9.3% week to date, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 1.1% on Tuesday ahead of major US tech earnings. Morgan Stanley strategist Mike Wilson said much of the tech-stock correction may be over, easing concerns about AI spending and debt financing, though the outlook remains uncertain. Markets broadly expect the Federal Reserve to hold rates at 3.75%–4%, with CME FedWatch putting the odds at 90.6%. Bitcoin still faces resistance near $82,000. Analyst Rekt Capital said its weekly chart resembles the 2022 bear-market structure and highlighted a $60,000–$80,000 accumulation range. A decisive break and hold above $82,000 could strengthen the bullish case; another rejection may keep traders cautious.

ENSv2 Launches with Subname Registries and NFT Claims

ENSv2 is now live on Ethereum mainnet, introducing separate registries for subnames and more granular permissions for managing Ethereum Name Service domains. Communities and institutions can set rules for issuing subnames and control access by segment. ENSv2 also updates name resolution and supports record-link sharing. Existing .eth names remain usable, and holders do not need to register again. They can upgrade through the ENS App, with no migration deadline; names that have not been upgraded can still be renewed through the ENSv1 renewal contract. ENS has also launched a redesigned app and ENS Explorer. ENS Labs says more than 40 teams were ready to support ENSv2 at launch. The wider ENS ecosystem supports over 36 million domains across more than 600 applications. Wallets eligible under a June 1, 2026 snapshot can claim one commemorative NFT each after upgrading all eligible names. Claiming is optional and requires gas. For traders, ENSv2 expands Ethereum Name Service functionality, but it does not directly change ETH supply or Ethereum’s network economics. Any market effect is more likely to depend on adoption, domain registrations and demand for ENS-related services.

BitGo and Jupiter Expand Institutional SOL Staking

BitGo and Solana DeFi platform Jupiter have launched a dedicated validator for institutional SOL staking. BitGo clients can delegate SOL through their existing custody accounts without moving assets to an external provider, while SOL remains in cold storage and established custody and approval processes stay in place. The service offers exposure to Solana network inflation rewards and a share of validator MEV revenue, but returns vary with network conditions and validator performance. Jupiter reported 100% uptime and a 0.008% skip rate over a recent 30-day period. BitGo says its platform includes up to $250 million in insurance and bankruptcy-remote protections. The integration could make native SOL staking more accessible to institutions with restrictions on transferring assets or using liquid staking tokens. It expands Jupiter’s role in institutional Solana services, but does not guarantee returns or signal a change in SOL’s price. Wider stake concentration at a large validator could also raise decentralization concerns.

Bitwise Forecasts Bitcoin at $1.6M by 2036

Bitwise’s 2027 long-term capital market assumptions report puts Bitcoin at $1.6 million by 2036 in its base case, raising its earlier forecast of $1.3 million by 2035. From a reference price of about $83,500, the new target implies a 34.3% annualised return. Bitwise expects Bitcoin to capture 25% of the combined Bitcoin-and-gold store-of-value market, supported by limited supply, institutional adoption and demand for hard assets. The report also considers Bitcoin’s volatility, its correlation with US stocks and potential institutional allocations of 1% to 5%. It flags quantum computing, AI-related disruption and regulatory changes as risks. The later summary confirms the $1.6 million forecast but provides no additional supporting assumptions. This is a long-term scenario, not a short-term price target or guarantee, so it is not by itself a near-term trading signal.

Bitcoin Faces a Second Red October as Spot Demand Weakens

Bitcoin is at risk of a second consecutive losing October, challenging its “Uptober” reputation. It fell about 4.2% from September’s close to October 25, dropping from roughly $83,567 to $80,051, before later recovering towards $81,500. CryptoQuant estimates October returns averaged 18.1% from 2020 to 2025, but seasonal trends do not guarantee gains. Bitcoin spot demand has been negative since October 14, with estimated 30-day demand about 76,000 BTC below available supply. The Coinbase Premium Index also stayed negative, reaching -0.146 on October 24, while CryptoQuant’s Bull Score Index fell from 90 to 60. These signals point to weak buying pressure, particularly from US-based traders. ETF flows offered some support: US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $176 million in inflows on October 27, led by BlackRock’s IBIT, after about $773.5 million in withdrawals on October 22 and 23. The uneven flows have not yet reversed the weak spot-demand picture. If selling persists, traders are watching the $73,000–$77,600 support zone, including levels near $77,585, $74,041 and $73,028. Stronger spot demand could improve the outlook. The Federal Reserve’s October 28 decision and US midterm elections on November 3 are also potential drivers of risk appetite and Bitcoin’s price direction.

Avalanche Vault Exploit Drains $1.01M in USDC

An Avalanche Tranche Vault exploit drained about $1.01 million in USDC on Oct. 27, according to security firm Blockaid. The attacker reportedly used a flash loan to mint inflated tranche shares, then redeemed them for the USDC held by the vault. Blockaid estimated the loss occurred across roughly two transactions and said the attack was ongoing. The vault was linked to Valinor Digital and Fence Finance, but its operator was not identified; neither company had commented publicly at the time of reporting. It remained unclear whether the vault had been paused, whether funds could be recovered or how many depositors were affected. The Avalanche vault exploit highlights ongoing DeFi security risks on the network, although its direct effect on AVAX may be limited unless the incident signals broader vulnerabilities. Traders may watch for updates from the firms and any signs of spillover into other Avalanche protocols. The incident follows the 2023 flash-loan attack on Platypus, which resulted in losses of about $8.5 million.

Anthropic IPO Filing Flags AI Safety and Political Risks

Anthropic’s IPO filing warns that its public advocacy for AI safety and related policy positions could expose the company to government scrutiny or retaliation. The warning follows disputes with the Trump administration, including a Pentagon supply-chain risk designation after Anthropic refused to loosen safeguards on autonomous weapons and mass surveillance, and export restrictions that temporarily disrupted access to some models. Anthropic says similar measures could return, disrupting model launches, customer and partner relationships, and commercial operations. While government contracts account for less than 1% of annual revenue, political pressure could still prompt wider regulatory scrutiny and affect business ties. The company also warns that future export controls or AI-related cybersecurity and biological safety incidents could hinder deployment, international expansion and growth. Regulations it supports may raise compliance costs and slow product development. Anthropic says it will continue its policy advocacy while improving communication with officials. For investors assessing the Anthropic IPO, these political and regulatory risks could weigh on growth expectations; the filing has no direct connection to cryptocurrency prices.

Coinbase Data Exposure Raises Third-Party Security Concerns

Coinbase says a security incident at analytics provider Amplitude exposed some customers’ contact information, but it found no evidence that its own systems were accessed without authorization or that customer funds were affected. Claims that more than 70,000 users were impacted, cited by DelCrxpto and SlowMist CISO 23pds, have not been independently confirmed. Amplitude had not publicly commented by 28 October. The Coinbase data exposure is distinct from the company’s earlier customer-support data breach, reported to have affected about 69,461 users in 2025, and a 2021 account-security incident involving at least 6,000 accounts. The reported exposure raises the risk of phishing, SIM-swapping and social-engineering attacks, though there is no indication that private keys or crypto assets were compromised. Binance founder Changpeng Zhao also flagged four reported data incidents that day, including cases involving South Korea’s Bithumb and financial firms. He recommended unique email addresses and strong passwords, passkeys or hardware security keys, authenticator apps instead of SMS verification, and withdrawal address allowlists and anti-phishing codes. For traders, the Coinbase data exposure signals heightened scam risks and broader third-party security concerns, not a confirmed disruption to Coinbase trading or customer funds.

Delaware AI Company Plan Draws US Congressional Scrutiny

Delaware’s proposed AI company plan is facing scrutiny from US House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, who warned it could shield owners and investors from liability for harm caused by AI-run businesses. Comer asked Governor Matt Meyer to provide documents, including internal AI chat logs and safety records, by November 9. The proposed Delaware AI company framework would allow AI agents to manage business operations. State officials say a supervised, 30-month regulatory sandbox and mandatory transaction logging would make agent activity traceable. The entities could own property and be sued, while members would generally remain protected from company debts. An earlier account said draft legislation was expected in 2027; a later report says lawmakers may consider it in January, without specifying the year. The congressional inquiry could also inform federal efforts to limit state-level AI regulation. The Delaware AI company plan concerns corporate governance and AI regulation, not cryptocurrency. It has no direct implications for crypto prices or market fundamentals.

Aave Lowers USDT Rate Kink to 92% as Utilization Rises

Aave lowered the USDT utilization kink in its Ethereum V3 Core market from 94% to 92% on 21 October 2026, following a recommendation from DeFi risk firm LlamaRisk. The change makes Aave USDT borrowing costs rise more sharply once utilization reaches a lower level. At 94% utilization, the new curve implies a 7% borrowing APR, compared with 4.5% under the previous parameters; rates rise from 4.5% at the 92% kink to 14.5% at full utilization. The later update found utilization at about 94.3% in late October, with variable borrowing APY at 7.70% and supply APY at 6.50%. An earlier 23 October snapshot recorded roughly 391.4 million USDT in available cash, a borrowing APR of about 4.23% and a supply liquidity APR of 3.29%, illustrating how rates and liquidity conditions can change over time. LlamaRisk estimated the lower kink could leave about 57.8 million USDT more unborrowed as a withdrawal buffer. This is not guaranteed cash: withdrawals still depend on available liquidity. The new parameters affect interest accruing after the change, not interest already accumulated. Traders should monitor Aave USDT utilization, borrowing rates and supply yields as indicators of liquidity pressure.

MARA’s 2,000 BTC Transfers Raise Bitcoin Sale Concerns

MARA Holdings transferred 1,000 BTC, worth about $80.19 million, to a BitGo address, then sent another 1,000 BTC—worth about $80.7 million—to the custodian on October 28. The second transfer came within two days of the first. The initial batch was split into 16 smaller transfers to new addresses, a pattern that may indicate distribution to buyers, but neither transfer confirms a sale; the latest batch remains at BitGo. Lookonchain tracked about 3,996 BTC, worth roughly $326 million, moving from MARA-linked wallets this month—around 11% of the 35,577 BTC the miner reported holding at the end of June. MARA sold 23,093 BTC in the first half of 2026, mainly to repurchase convertible notes, and has said it may periodically sell bitcoin. Its second-quarter results included a $611 million loss and a 27% revenue decline, adding to market scrutiny of its liquidity and potential BTC supply. Bitcoin was trading near $81,577, up about 2% in 24 hours, with little immediate reaction to the latest transfers. Earlier market conditions had BTC below $80,000 and down about 2% over seven days. Traders are watching whether the second BitGo batch is split and moved, and whether MARA’s third-quarter results clarify October sales. The cited technical levels include resistance near $81,705 and $84,898, support at $79,221, and an earlier $80,000–$81,500 support zone; one analyst warned that failure to reclaim $82,000 could risk a further decline of up to 10%. Any actual MARA sale could add supply and pressure Bitcoin, but transfers alone do not establish that selling has occurred.

Birch Hill Raises $4M to Expand Onchain US Credit

Birch Hill raised $4 million in a seed round led by Multicoin Capital, with ParaFi Capital, Castle Island Ventures and Nascent also participating. The New York startup has now raised $6.5 million, including a $2.5 million pre-seed round. Birch Hill curates lending vaults on Morpho and is developing onchain credit strategies to connect loan originators with blockchain-based lenders. Its first product is a USDC vault on Base, built using Morpho infrastructure and Yearn v3 vault standards. The vault lets accredited investors supply USDC against GRO tokens linked to GromaREIT, a US multifamily real estate investment trust. Birch Hill says the product prioritizes risk controls and capital preservation. The company plans to expand from multifamily real estate into agricultural and energy loans through securitized onchain products. It has applied for FINRA broker-dealer membership and says it met with the SEC’s Crypto Task Force in August. The eight-person team includes three former Yearn employees and a former Gauntlet risk specialist. The raise supports Birch Hill’s push to bring regulated private credit to onchain lending, though any expansion will depend on execution, and tokenization does not remove underlying borrower or credit risk.

Crypto.com Launches US Perpetual Futures With 5x Leverage

Crypto.com and derivatives partner OG.com have launched regulated crypto perpetual futures for eligible US traders, with leverage of up to 5x. The contracts have no fixed expiry and are available through the Crypto.com App and Crypto.com Exchange. Traders can take long or short positions and use take-profit and stop-loss orders; funding payments may affect the cost of holding positions. OG.com provides the exchange, clearing and futures commission merchant services. Crypto.com is registered with the National Futures Association as an introducing broker. The launch follows the CFTC’s May move to open the US market to crypto perpetual contracts. Kraken introduced a US perpetuals product in June, while the new service also adds competition with Coinbase. The launch expands access to crypto perpetual futures through regulated US derivatives infrastructure. The 5x leverage cap is lower than on some offshore exchanges, but leverage can still magnify losses as well as gains. The announcement did not specify which cryptocurrencies are available. More trading on domestic platforms could broaden the US derivatives market, but the launch alone does not establish a direct price catalyst for any particular cryptocurrency.

Bitcoin Traders Watch Fed Rate and Inflation Signals

Bitcoin traders are watching the Federal Reserve’s rate decision and Chair Kevin Warsh’s comments for clues about the outlook for interest rates and inflation. Markets expect the Fed to hold its benchmark rate at 3.75%–4% at its Oct. 28 meeting. Investors will focus on whether at least three voting officials dissent in favor of a rate increase, how Warsh assesses easing financial conditions and falling Treasury yields, and what he says about persistent inflation. Inflation has exceeded expectations for two consecutive months, oil is near $100 a barrel and US diesel prices have reached record highs. A hawkish signal could raise expectations of future rate increases, support the US dollar and put pressure on Bitcoin and other risk assets. Ahead of the decision, Bitcoin traded at $81,411, up more than 2% in 24 hours. Ether, Solana and XRP also gained more than 2%. The Fed announcement and Warsh’s news conference could trigger short-term volatility in crypto markets.

CZ Sees BNB Chain as a Potential Network for AI Payments

Binance co-founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) said crypto could become AI’s “native currency” and hopes BNB Chain will support payments by AI agents. He also wants to bring computing-resource tokens to BNB Chain, but gave no timeline or launch details. The vision remains an ambition, not a live product. The comments came at a Nasdaq opening-bell ceremony for BNB Standard, formerly CEA Industries. The company says it holds more than 515,400 BNB, worth about $383.5 million, and plans to run a BNB Chain validator. The validator had not been publicly confirmed as live at the event. CZ said crypto payments are still cumbersome and advised startups to focus on underserved markets and remittance corridors rather than compete directly with major US payment services. For BNB, the prospect of AI-agent payments and broader network use could support long-term demand, but the lack of concrete plans limits any immediate catalyst. BNB Standard shares were near $5.36 and down almost 17% year to date, underscoring that the announcement had not yet produced a clear market boost.

Ethereum Whale Deposits and ETF Outflows Pressure ETH

Reports describe large Ethereum transfers to Kraken, though their figures and wallet histories differ. An earlier report said a long-term holder deposited 3,000 ETH, worth about $7.23 million, after acquiring it roughly nine years ago at around $18.83 per coin. A later report cited a 7,594 ETH deposit, worth about $17.79 million, from an investor reportedly inactive for a year who bought 200,000 ETH in Ethereum’s initial coin offering for about $62,000. The deposits may signal plans to sell, but neither confirms that a sale took place. Ethereum was trading near $2,340–$2,400 in the reports. The later update highlighted pressure from US spot Ethereum ETF withdrawals, including $60.2 million in net outflows on October 27 and about $1.26 billion in October outflows through October 26. In contrast, wallets holding 1,000–10,000 ETH reportedly accumulated around 40,000 ETH over the previous week. The earlier report also noted that the broader market was relatively flat and that the whale transfer was not proven to have caused ETH’s price movement. Traders are watching support around $2,310–$2,328, with a sustained break potentially exposing $2,256 and $2,204. The earlier report identified $2,350 as support and $2,500–$2,550 as resistance; the later update said reclaiming $2,362 and then $2,444–$2,453 could improve recovery prospects. A Federal Reserve meeting was also cited as a potential catalyst in the earlier report. With no confirmed sale, the transfers add a possible source of supply, while ETF outflows and large-wallet accumulation offer competing signals for Ethereum traders.

Bitcoin Tops $81,000 as Traders Await Fed Decision

Bitcoin climbed about 2% to above $81,000 in Wednesday’s Asian trading, recovering from a weekend dip near $79,000 and Monday’s move below $80,000. Major cryptocurrencies also advanced ahead of the Federal Reserve’s rate decision. HYPE rose nearly 6%, ZEC gained 5%, DOGE added 4%, and BNB and SOL each climbed about 3%; ETH, XRP and TRX also rose. Earlier trading saw ZEC up as much as 8% and HYPE nearly 5%. Traders are watching Fed Chair Kevin Warsh’s press conference for clues about a possible December rate hike. Higher interest rates can pressure Bitcoin and other risk assets by raising borrowing costs. Galaxy Research head Alex Thorn said Bitcoin’s bear market likely ended in June, when it fell below $58,000, citing its move above the 50-week moving average and lighter selling pressure. He described the current phase as accumulation, though Bitcoin has struggled to hold above $80,000. A daily close above $82,500 could signal stronger recovery momentum; Fed guidance remains a key near-term catalyst for Bitcoin and the wider crypto market.

SUN.io Burns 7.23M SUN as SunSwap Expands Integrations

SUN.io says it completed its 52nd consecutive SUN buyback and burn on October 27, destroying 7.23 million tokens accumulated during the period from July 25 to October 25. Cumulative SUN burns have reached 685.78 million, worth more than $11 million and equivalent to 3.44% of the token’s total supply. The project also reported that another 7.1 million SUN was awaiting destruction. Buybacks are funded by revenue from SunSwap V2, SunPump and SunX, and SUN.io’s dashboard provides burn figures and on-chain records. Separately, SunSwap completed technical integrations with trading aggregator Ave.ai, wallet TokenPocket and cross-chain liquidity protocol Symbiosis. As of October 26, SunSwap reported nearly $645 million in total value locked, more than 26,800 active liquidity pools and average daily trading volume above $50 million. SUN.io said its products recorded nearly $15 billion in Q3 2026 trading volume, up about 25% from the previous quarter, including roughly $9.7 billion in perpetuals. The recurring SUN burn may support token scarcity, while the integrations could broaden access to SunSwap liquidity. However, supply reductions and reported activity do not guarantee price gains; demand, market conditions and the sustainability of protocol revenue remain important.
